What do you think?

One thing that sometimes bothers me is when they say they're 'having' a shower or a nap or something. I say 'taking' I'm not sure if that's proper but I like it a lot more than having. Anyone know what's actually correct and what does everyone else say?

some people just need to be hit, then you can tell them whats proper

Neither one is proper. when you say 'take a shower' or 'have a shower' you are using shower as a noun when you really mean it as a verb. and to use it as a verb you should say, 'i am going to go shower.' or as said above, 'i am showering' etc... so you cant TAKE or HAVE a verb... but yeah, i say that i am going to go take a shower all the time, even though it isnt proper...

what about pregnant women? having a baby or taking a baby

hahahah, maybe they should just call it 'shitting out a kid'

it would be having a baby, because baby is a noun, see how this works?

he shitface, first off i was cracking a joke, second shower can be both a noun or a verb. it can either be 'to shower' as in: 'i am going to shower my piss all over your head' or i can be used as a noun in it's obect form as in: 'i'm going to chainsaw your arms off and place them in my shower'

see how that works?

naw joker, i dont think you got what i was saying. i was not even making fun of what you were saying. not at all. i even said that i say take a shower all time time. and yes, shower can be both a verb and a noun, but what we mean is the verb.
