What do you think you get out of school?

okay so i am starting to believe that at school i really am not learning much at all and it seems like a huge waste of time most days.....so i want to know what ns thinks about this---highschool and college input(im in highschool)
 
yo man, you're probably just stressin out right now.. high school is mad easy.. and i think the reason they teach you sooo much stuff that seems unintersting is so that kids find out what there interests are.
 
I get time away from my parents. Which i can get anyway. I also get to see my dealer. Thats about it. I only have 3 classes anyway though
 
no way! i am getting the same thing, in a month.

i know i personally have learned way more just living in the real world than i have ever learned in a class room. there is always something new to learn, it is up to us to take it and use it.
 
its probably a waste of time to you because you dont have any hard classes i have a couple hard class that i find very interesting so im not bored, plus your probably just stressed
 
haha... highschool. i'm right on that same level with you, i just moved and got to a new school, i'm way ahead of all the kids in my classes pretty much, i could get a's withought even going probably... but what i get out of it is i get to meet people around where i live and i make some killer artwork (well mostly sick fingerpainting of rainbows) in painting class.... college will be way better next year.
 
It teaches you how to be self-motivated and get shit done that you don't wanna do...who knows imma stupid high school kid
 
i feel ya man.school is a waste i took a day off the one day and i built a motocross track in my yard in the time i would have to be in school.i can get so much more done and porobably be smarter if i didnt have to goto school.
 
You get a piece of paper. A piece of paper that says that you aren't a complete fucktard. Then you get to show that piece of paper to someone and hope they give you a job. If you're lucky enough, and motivated enough, this job will eventually lead to a 6 or 7 digit salary. If you manage this salary properly you might be lucky enough to become the proud owner of one of the really big homes conveniently located 3.2 feet from the lift. You then get to wake up later than everyone else and still be in line early enough to catch fresh tracks.

That's what you get out of school.

Oh yeah, you also get lots of fun drugs and hot ass.

2. learn about some cool shit sometimes

3. learn to not be a dumbass

4. make friends, find out about parties

5. get drugs if thats your things

6. get to go to college

7. get to make money

8. get to buy cool shit and fuck younger women

all kinds of good stuff comes from highschool, unfortunately for most of the time getting educated isnt one of the things you get.
 
school isnt necessarily about learning, its about repetition and conformity. you "learn" information that sticks with you for a few weeks, then repeat it to teh teacher to get a good grade. it teaches you that conformity is good, you do exactly what they say and are taught to follow rules and dont go outside of them. school is about thinking in the box.

none of this is my idea, i personally think that i learn a lot from school in terms of academics and things that will be helpful later in life, as well as social skills. but in the end, you get out of it what you put into it
 
I'm a senior in high school, I've got 30 something days left, I already took my AP tests... I'm just waiting for that damn piece of paper.
 
yep. only if you want to be social though. you learn a lot of coping skills and stuff too, but not a lot of actual facts until junior year if you take ap classes. then you slack senior year.
