What do you think symbolizes skiing?

besides mountains, i want to no what you guys think symbolizes the beauty of our sport, and lifestyle. just an image that puts it all together that does not include a skier. think deeply.

The first thing that comes to mind when somebody mentions skiing is an image of me being freed from the supressing everyday life of an average teen; being released into the mountains, where I truly feel free.
 
Skiing takes you into your own little world with all of your friends.There is endless amounts of fun,people to meet,places to travel,things to film/shoot.
 
in a lift line before the lifts are runnig. it is snowing heavily. everybody is pumped for the snow and everyone is happy
 
happiness. whenever i talk about skiing i get happy/pumped. even though my season averages about 3 months of the year, i love cruisin switch down my 150 foot hill to hit the lonely rails and non-existent jumps, half-assed half pipe, etc. it makes me feel better than everyone else on the hill since its all gapers with their 2 year old sons who cant even walk yet. and snowboarders who do more sitting than riding.

that doesnt sound pleasant, but its what i have. and i like it.
 
that freedom i only get when im skiing. thinking about nothing else but your nexy line. forgetting the rest of the world to be happy for the day. going out there when it's in the negatives because there's powder. it's the lifestyle of loving it.

very good tanaka . sick. and shut up with this "gangster" shit. not even close to what our lifestyle is about. you must be a fool to think that. i believe that we do has the most beautiful atmosphere in whatever aspect it might be. alot of kids on this site have a deep passion for what we do, but should also appreciate the sick surroundings. look around you, name it.

-cookie cutter lodges riddled with equipment being dried off

-7$ bottle of water

-Brown snow parking lot

-The smell of gasoline from bus/snowmobile

-The sweat from hiking or just riding

-Steam rising from the boots as soon as you take them off at the end of the day
 
for me this is it:

that feeling in your stomach like the giddy little girl when she sees justin timberlake feeling, where you are just unbelievably happy, i just love every aspect about skiing and being in the mountains sets me free from everyday life so i dont have to deal with all the school and social bullshit

i can't remember that, sicne i lost my fucking disc for it!

but definatley how once you get to the top of that kicker line/ pow slope/ groomer nothing else in the world matters from then on....cause your about to ski
 
you know that smile you see on the faces of your friends when the only their thinking about is how much fun your all having? and it spreads around your whole group, that works too
