What do you think of Atomic Triplets?

I just picked up a pair of Atomic Trips for $180CDN.

I don't know much about them, but I figured, at that price, you can really do no wrong.

Any body ridden them?

IN THE PARK ....OUTTA THE PARK?

I still gotta mount some bindings on 'em.

What can I expect.

 
i dont really know much about them. havent really known anyone thats owned them long enough to tell
 
wow that kind of made them sound crappy but honestly i have no idea how durable they are or anything. the idea of selling skis in sets of 3 seems good though
 
i juat got a pair and mounted them with the triplet bindings and im at jr. nationals now, and they are fucking incredible. they rip pretty much anywhere, i love them so much, super fun ski
 
nah man, i skied mine fast in silver star at juniors and i thought they would suck for it but on my ways to the different sites through crud and crust and wet snow slush and bullet proof moguls at mach shit straight line they held up sooo much better than expected. im not saying they were amazing for that but they defiantly performed a lot better than most skis, and if you want a buttery ski that is stiff but flexy in the tips and tails for butters and rails but will hold you up when you land a bit back or forward on a jump then they are fucking rad.
 
Where should I mount the bindings on these things?

True centre....or a bit back? Any advice would be appreciated....BIG TIME!

definitly skied them, fucking noodles, im pretty sure you could bend the tip back to touch the toe piece of your binding.
 
well how much do you weigh!? im like 130 and they arent that soft at all unless you really press into them .
 
yo man, im not hating on you, haha just the ski.

if your 130 i can see them being a medium flex, but if your 150 and up its for the ill nasty butters, i wouldnt jump them i guess
 
when I was looking at ryans they didn't even look they had sidecut. They probably do but it looked like a completly straight ski
 
I weigh a good 180lbs. I'm not husky, I swear.

I was just looking for a so-so all mountain ski that's decent in the park (jumps mostly)....I got a more dedicated rail ski....MAD TRIX that are absolutely Bomb Proof.

For $180 I couldn't really go wrong.

 
yea and with the longer ski they automatically make it a bit stiffer for the larger rider, ( not saying your fat) but your obviously not 5'7

Actually, I'm not. I'm 5'11" but still...the skis do seem stiff enough though...not that noodly. I'll be getting Mojo 15's mounted on them this week. Can't wait.
 
What's wrong with MOJO 15's?

Please don't tell my your a Look guy.

I've never figured out why those damn things are so damn bulky.
 
Hell, if I'd even seen a turnable heel on a LOOK I'd consider them, but I haven't. I've got Solly bindings and they just seem to be have cheaper (breakable) components. I've absolutely KILLED tyrolia's before, and never had pieces fly off (other than brake arms).

All in all, skis have developed enough. The ski industry needs new bindings...BADLY. They gotta catch up.

Anybody agree?
 
yo i ski with rossi bindings, but i got the triple pack atomic/salomon binding fro my triplets but my rossi bindings kick ass and the triplet salomon ones are also very nice.
 
watch your edges for cracks, everyone i know that has ridden on atomics cracks them. my buddy went to snow park in nz for the summerand he came back with 16 cracks in one ski and 18 in the other. the good thing is atomic will warrenty them but then you have to deal with BS
 
ya seriously looks with the swivelling heel piece are some of the best bindings you can get. The other looks are without a doubt the worst in my opinion
 
I'll stick w/ my MOJO 15's, thanks. Though I've had them before, and the brakes have needed "readjusting" a few times, these bindings actually release when they're supposed to. And since all binding brakes take a beating landing switch, I can't really say too much bad stuff about the higher end Tyrolia crap.
