What do you think about people who ride with out poles?

I used to ride without poles, But I then learned that poles actually help So much when sking. Plus you can give hot boarder chicks a tow if they are in need.

im with apple. one day my pole broke right off like the 3rd run...i had to ride no pole steeze the rest of the day. it felt kinda nice not having to hold on to the poles but once i got new ones...ahhhh so much bettter.

Skiing without poles helps you learn to be more aware of where your hands are so that when you are skiing, you look better... thats what i heard to justify it, Its fun to do every now and then but Ive never really considered it as part of skiing... I guess if its outside of competing and movies, its 100% legal

poles definitely looks better as far as riding style...but unless they're 4 or can really shred i hardly ever see anyone ride without them anyway.

The person is still out there having a blast skiing. I could care less, just like the people in the park without twins. As long as they are following the rules, I dont care what they look like or how they are riding. Skiing is all about that one kid in the park who sucks, and has no steeze at all, but buys a season pass every year and is out there every day having fun. I think im gunna cry now.

there was this one guy where i ski.. Wild Mountain, MN! who was riding t-halls and his friend was riding eric pollards, both not using poles. they were doing really sweet stuff. he 270 on - 450 offed an s-rail, it was sick.

poles are the best. u look cool, ride better and as apple said boarder chicks love when u help tow them a bit. so its all good.. if u dont ride with them then u should start

im not gonna purposly go skiing without poles cause thats gay, but like when im doing a rail in my backyard i dont always use poles and it feels kinda cool but i like it better with poles.

 
its all personal preference, i ride with poles, mainly becuz thats how i learnt how to ski...so its natural

I find it hard to ski without poles. My arms feel useless and bored. But I find it hilarious when a little kiddle skis with no poles and with their arms straight out.

Riding with no poles is not too shabb shabb. I always ride with poles, except for the one time when I rode with no poles and executed an exceptional tres sixty. However, I genereally ride with poles for all those reasons stated; Tow pretty snowboard girls, get places easier, pole flips, pretending they are guns and shooting old ladies, and using them as shields when deflecting my brothers constant bombardments of getting hit by hils poles when he gets super angry at me, and because getting made fun of by some people just is not my bag baby. I really just wish that those who talk about riding with no poles in an extremely negative way is just plain silly. Hmmm, opinions.... everyone has them, Im dropping it.

if i only skied park i would not use poles, there is no need for them.

All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz and I'm fine.
 
well its fine with or without them cause I skied in the the park with them then woithout them and I ski out of the park with them, and without them but I feel more comfortable with them tho

i ski with poles MOST of the time, sometime ill ski without poles. i must say though, poles does make me feel more comfortable when skiing. i think that it really doesnt matter if you use poles or not, its all personal preference.
