i'm basically just starting out this season (i've been downhill skiing since i was a little kid but just getting into freeskiing and whatnot recently)... i'm lookin to get some twin tip skis for

a) girls

b) beginners

c) christmas.. in which case they need to be moderately priced so that parents are willing to pay.

what do you recommend??

an older pair of 1080s would probably do you good and be relatively cheap ($200)

Abba Zabba, you my only friend

you can pick up last years volkl v-expressions (new) from ebay for about $200 in a 158. they're a great park ski for lighter riders. My sister has them.

i didn't come here with pants, and i'm not leaving with pants

does it have to be twintip? if not, there are tons of girl-specific all-mountain skis that are light, slightly softer and have girl oriented graphics (like flowers instead of snakes wrapped aound naked chicks). you'll probably pay less because every buck-toothed inbred and their cousin wants twin-tips cuz somebody like justin timberlake said it was cool to ski now. everybody on this site is just going to say troublemakers or publicenemies or 1080s cuz thats the only skis they know of in production. theres lots out there.

'Dude, check out this nasty gouge.'

'Your mom has a nasty gouge.'

im just gonna sling crystal meth so i dont have to get a real job and can afford to ski, with the way my senior year is goin though thats probably one of my few options

yeah, they have to be twin tip... like i said i've been skiing for years, i'm not just doing it cause justin timberlake told me to... i dont even like justin timberlake...i already have parabolic skis. i already know how to ski downhill. i want twin tips so i can hit the jumps and actually start learning tricks... if everyone else on the site only knows about those few selective skis, what are your ideas? you seem well informed

what do u have in mind...theyre all good,scratches,pe's,tm's,lines...w/e u want..i asked the same sort of question a long while back and they all said get troublemakers..i got public enemy's and im glad i did

plus they were only $175

fine, but if i die, im totally gonna kick your ass - me after being dared to jump off my friends house into his pool

go for the volkl expressions, go to www.volkl.com, the v-expression ski is part of the v-series, and last years dimensions are the same. Volkl skis use hand made wood core construction, they are prime and nearly indestructable.

PE's (brother has those... they are awesome), 1080's (other brother has those... awesome too) or Nordica Beasts (friend has those... and i've never actually seen them... but they sound cool.) haha.

just get something cheap, especially since you've already got skis. the cheaper skis will get banged up a lot especially when you start learning how to railslide, then eventually you can just use those skis for just sliding rails and then buy a better pair in the future.
