I saw people with shovel back pacts. When i went on march for vacation I wanted to to it but was with my crap skier sis so couldn't do anything. But my friend and I are going next year and dont know what we need like certification, pacts, cost???

no you dont need certification or anythign just skis and you the bowls are alot of fun. these guys were probably jsut building a jump or sumthing like that.

I don't know why they've all of a sudden decided to refer to the backside of Lake Louise as 'powder bows.' They are rarely filled with powder anyway! In terms of what you need- a brain will come in handy. The people with shovels and packs were probably going to ski Purple Bowl or something.

i was there on the break with my shovel pack. i built a lip off a cliff and back-flipped off it. that shovel was totally worth having. when were you there on the break?

as for the person who wrote this ^ ... sorry we all can't ski at large resorts and know the difference of powder bowls but it was my first trip away from horshoe valley in Ontario and for people who know where that is Horshoe can't compare to any big mountain resort

Hey dude I wasn't trying to diss YOU, I am getting mad at RCR (the company that owns LL) for being so lame. The brain part is referring to you need one to make sure you don't accidentally ski off a large sized cliff when skiing things like the ER chutes.

Thatisall.

i skied purple bowl when i was out there last feb break....good fun about a 2 hour hike...and shes rite very lil powder but still a good time

i was there 12-14. i was dressed in all brown and had a red bag with a blue shovel. just incase you were wondering.
