What do you look for in Jeans?

I recently tore both of my ACLs and will have to get two surgeries this summer to fix em. This is pretty much keeping me out of the job market for the summer, so I figured its as good a time as any to start getting a business plan together.

I have always liked the idea of starting a clothing company, but the market is absolutely saturated with small shirt companies. Therefore I chose to start my business selling casual pants (jeans, khakis, etc). I am coming to NS to get some insight into what you guys like in a pair of pants.

Help me out by answering some of these questions:

Your pant size?

Age?

Favorite color jeans? (dark blue, lighter blue, black, etc)

Favorite cut? (boot cut, skinny fit, slim boot, straight leg, etc)

Favorite color stitching?

Do you generally sag your pants?

And feel free to leave any additional comments about what you need/want in a pair of pants!

I'm 18, I wear a 34 waist but I'm pretty tall so I find a lot of jeans aren't long enough. Longer jeans are a huge asset to me.

My favorite color jeans are either dark blue or grey.

I usually wear a straight fit. I want my pants to be form fitting but never tight. They need to have enough room to be able to move around without worrying about ripping something.

I don't really care what color the stitching is.

I always sag my pants, but part of that is because they're often not quite long enough if I wear them at my waist.

It may sound gay, but jeans with a bit of stretch in them are awesome. They're comfy and so much more mobile.

Yeah, I've checked out a few styles of denim and I'm really liking the feel of 2%-5% spandex This give the material a small stretch, and a really nice form-fit. I'm going to continue looking at materials, but I will probably end up using some kind of spandex blend.

17, 30x32 usually
dark stain, so that you put your own wear in. a khaki color would be dope too.
skinny.
contrast stitching is cool, but not essential.
a little.

i have two pairs (one that i wear regularly, one pair of ridiculous ones) they are both straight fit, both have 2% spandex. one pair is black, with black stitching, and the other is a bright yellow with brown stitching.
extra length in the legs is nice i wear a 32 waist, and look for at least a 32-34 leg. i sag my pants plenty and wear shoelace belts.
hope that helps

im 14 i wear a 32 with a belt. i like the darker blue and cords. i wear skinny jeans but not to skinny. i have 2 pair of levis skinny fit. and a pair of spitfire cords. that are normal. i dont reall sag my jeans cuz i cant stand the feeling. and stiching doesnt really matter to me. but if its like the red stiching of the jiberish jeans then it looks goffy. brown stiching is the best.

18, 6'3-4

34x32/30 depending on the brand

skinny

dark blue mostly, sometimes a lighter blue or grey

pants usually sagged a little. not as much as when im skiing, but a little off the ass.

and btw i think this is a great idea. depending on price/quality, id love to invest in an up-and-coming jean company created by skiers.

dry denim

33-34 waist

colourful stiching if it's tasteful

slim cut, but not painted on

durable, especially if they're on the pricey side. that means thicker denim strong stiching in the belt loops.

Ok first of all. How the hell do you guys wear tight jeans, how does your dick fit in them?? do you like hurting your balls and cutting of circulation to your dick or what? maybe your dick is just small enough it fits.

anyways

I'm 16

I'm 6'2

My favorite color jeans are black and Grey

I like having baggy, and strait cut jeans like http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http://www.karmaloop.com/Vendor/DCS/zoom/51800025-VINzoom1.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/men-jeans-skinny-legs-433977/&usg=__o4MP8C4cd4EVKO99vB9GBHPTRjI=&h=450&w=295&sz=28&hl=en&start=6&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=0uK548bkHu2yCM:&tbnh=127&tbnw=83&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dbaggy%2Bin%2Bbut%2Bbit%2Bslim%2Bon%2Blegs%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26tbs%3Disch:1

I like to sag my pants

I like those really baggy jean shorts

I like having them long in the legs cause I'm tall

Something I think would be cool is to have your logo on one of the back pockets

I think it's cool that they are starting to put drawings and pictures on the back of jeans now like this

http://mediaext.drjays.com/media/190/293/files/1902935.jpg

14, typically wear 28x30 or 28x32 jeans, although I find them a little short for my liking even when I sag a bit, so I think I'd probably like 28x34 more. (oh yeah, I know I'm skinny)

I THINK I'm wearing boot cuts right now, although I think I'd prefer a little baggier, but I really don't like the look of skinny jeans. Stitching I don't care, and I like to sag my pants a little but not very much... I guess it's not even considered sagging, since it sits only a few inches below my waist.

The jeans I am currently wearing are Abercrombie (I don't give a shit what you say, they make nice and good cloths that fit nicely, especially jeans, especially off the clearance rack), 34 length 32 waist. I have no idea what the cut is, probably straight leg on these. They are fairly dark, but not too dark.

My favorite pair of jeans are:

Gap

low rise straight fit

size 33/34 (waist/length i think?)

Dark blue, almost a tint of black.

I do not like extremely dark or extremely light jeans. I don't like black jeans too much, I don't have any but I have see some pairs that I have liked. These Gap jeans fit a little skinnier, but they are not skin tight (not my style). I don't like baggy pants. I like grey corduroys, I would like to see someone make a nice pair of corduroys because most just don't look good on me. Khakis are alright, I have a few pairs but rarely wear them. It depends on the fit and what color I am wearing (yea I actually looking in the mirror when I get dressed, some colors don't got together, don't call me a homo haha). I do not sag my pants, I always wear a belt and have them at my waist. I like a little extra length so they don't rise up 6 inches at your feet when you sit down and it looks liek you are wearing capris (sp?) and its just uncomfortable. I hope this helps

Oh yea, I'm 5'11" around 155 lb, 18 years old.

And for stitching, idk I never really thought about it. As long as it isn't some crazy color that doesn't go. I don't really like the red stitching on Jiberish jeans (only seen pictures).

And I feel you on the torn ACL's. I got my surgery 3 weeks ago. Tore my right ACL completely in half. The first week is tough but it gets noticeably easier to do everything after about 10 out of surgery and then every day after that. I thought this was going to be something about wearing jeans under the knee brace haha because I was worried I wouldn't be able to but they fit.

19 years old, I like to wear low rise boot cut jeans in 32 x 34. Any color of jeans is good, though depends on what else I am wearing. So a wide range of color is best. And yes I typically sag my jeans.

im 5'8 32 waistmy favorite jeans are the levis skinny jeans but i usually buy them a size bigger like a 34 so that they arent skin tight.dark blue is my favorite color i guess gold sticthing or brown would be cooli usually look for them in longer sizes to so they fit looserhope that helps also stretchy material is comfortable

At 18, I win skinniest mofo ever with a 28 waist

I like medium blue, black and light grey jeans with a very slim but not quite skinny fit so they're basically a slim straight. coloured stitching can look good in moderation but I like the classic yellow on blue jeans, and black/black, grey/grey

I usually sag a little bit for comfort but nothing ridiculous, its not very noticable

Im 6'4

I wear a 36/34 sometimes a 36 inseem as well

I like a raw dark wash colour, dark blue, dark grey, whatever.

I like a straight fit, not baggy at all, but not skin tight.

I sag em just a bit. Low rise is best.

a tiny bit of spandex in the material would be awesome, just for mobility, even 1%. I'd be interested in a pair if you made some.

for me, i think jiberish really nailed it with their jeans. straight fit, dark colours, and colourful stitching to spice it up a bit. they also have a few % spandex to make them comfortable.

5'9, 32 waist

i had orange jeans once, those were dope.

but i usually go with gray

straight, anywhere from skinny to baggy as hell.

and jeans should always be sagged as long as you know how to do it without trailing them on the ground

same here just change the size to 34/36(depending on brand), and make them longer! being 6'2" its annoying buying jeans that are not long enough

Let me first say that starting a denim company is far more difficult then starting a t-shirt or clothing company. To find quality denim etc. is a lot tougher.

I look for skinny jeans that actually stay tailored to my legs all the way to the ankles. Most guys jeans tend to flare out at the bottom, which is really annoying I find.
