What do you like about your skis

nice idea for a thread

i have 08 line elizabeths i really like em there 172 long 110 at waist and there 139 at nose and 137 and tail, there great allmountain skis, and super smooth in the park, since im small they also make a great powder ski the only thing i dislike about them is the topsheet sheers off pretty easly and i wish they were a little skinnier since im smaller, but still no biggie there

i also have 07 armada ar6s and i realy like the flex on the skis there good skis, they hold up, good graphics, chip easy but good, the only thing i dont like is the sidecut i wish the tips and tails were more symetical, but other than that there pretty good

i have 170cm 9thward MIPs and i've only ridden them twice, but they are super light. I hate how easily the topsheet chips...That's my only complaint.

I love them, FUCKING LOVE THEM in the park and for rails.... why wouldnt I?

I think you should re ask your question with some specifics so I can stoke you up on moment.

186 blends. Love the flex and 90mil underfoot that is great for all mountain. I have them centermounted though because I ski like all park though and they rip. Only complaints are edges and topsheet durability

ok then! i realllllly want to buy the moment reno rockers, cause they seem soooo sick 1. there rockered i figuered id give rockered a try 2. moment seems super good 3. i looooove soft skis 4. i was looking for a park ski with a wider waist, but was still super jibby

so my questions are: how soft are they? do they run tall or small length wise? are they anthem jibby or lizzie jibby? whats else is good about em? do tell

i have the 169 fujatives, this years with the black/charcoal and weird shit on the tips and tials, crazy monkeys, scientists ext...with rossi scratch bindings. I love the flex/sopftness on these puppies and i love how the float in the air and make rails easy, these things are sick @$$ Fack.

i got 166 urban trips and 173 punx. (its true that i love atomic) they are both light and responsive skis. for an 83 and 84 underfoot they preform amazingly well in powder. they are both beasts in the par par, and way way durable. last year a hit a stall straight on going about 10-12 MPH and all i had was a chip in the right tip the size of a pencil eraser.

Ok, theyre not like anthems, or lizzies at all. Theyre like rockers.

Theyre soft but snappy, and its super easy to butter because of the rocker. they chatter like shit untill you put an edge down but you dont ever feel like you will lose control. They come in a 181 and thats it this year. I dont think you can get them anymore, but i could be wrong so try.

theyre shred pretty short cause of the rocker. And because there is less surface area they do run a little slow, mostly just in the flats though. sick on jumps, stable off the kicker and landing is normal. Some people think youll just wash out, but its fine because theyre stiff enough underfoot. I was looking for a soft ski too, so theyre perfect in that sense. theyre sick in deep stuff, the rocker helps obviously, you can just jump around in the snow, its sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeT!

So far theyre bomber... I have a nice core shot goin on, which sucks, but thats not the skis fault. Edges still good after some urban, etc. Theyre super jibby and love to butter. Sw butter 27 on is super easy. Well easy is the wrong word cause I suck at spiinning on, but it was something easy to wrangle once I stepped to it. they love to ski switch actually, the center mount is the only way to go on these sticks.

I cant compare them to anything cause there is no other ski like this on the market. Right now its hellbents, or reno rockers. Dont need hellbents, wont give K2 my money... so rockers it was. EVeryone thinks theyre awesome, and so do I.

ok, so your last thing is wider ski, still jibby?

there is a ton of skis that fit that, and the rocker is one of em... best part; moment has the best priced skis on the market and their service is unreal.

Im stoked for the biiby pros next year.

DO IT!

woops, reno jibs, but no not really. I like the rockers too much.

The jib just has the profile of a generic park ski... which is fine, not knocking it. But Ive had that, dont need it anymore. theyre pretty sick though, pop for days, hella hella light, and like to go fassssssssssst!

Personally, I just got used to how the rockers feel and dont want to go back to a stiffer ski.

i asked em if thele make em in a 171 and they said if there was a demand then they would so all you people who would be intereted in 171 rockers email moment and tell em, cause i reallllllllly want rockers thank you soo much

178 anthems, super soft and jibby. ski sick switch, i just love everything about that

185 scratch bc's stable, good in the park, float in the soft stuff

177 triplets, light, great for urban, otherwise im not a fan

181 chronics, stiff, rip all mountain, i like the anthems better tho and my chronics now see neglect

one of my older brothers friends is trying to build his own skis maybe start a small company

and he wants to no what people like about there skis and what they maybe want improved

bloody genious! well lemme give some tips, symetric, rockered park skis, good graphics, soft, a llittle wide and cool base graphics, but also different unique ideas that ur bro should come up with

181 armada pipe cleaners, 07/08. Mounted with tt9 -1.5

they are so fast, so poppy, so fun, they hold up so good too.

185 armada arv with fks 155 at minues 4 from center, they were my park ski, and they ripped super soft skis. really fun

I have 07 Armada Ar6s, 166cm.

I don't really like them that much, mainly because they were a little too stiff for my liking, plus after 1 day of rails I had 3 coreshots in one ski, so i'm definatly not impressed with that. Next Year I'm getting some Reno Rockers.

i have 161 armada ar5s with look p jibs.

i love them because they feel so stable, i never feel like i come even close to breaking any park of them. its such an amazing feeling.

i got 177 walls with jesters they are sick but they have bad sizing i wish the had like a 173 in there(instead of going from 169-177 they are fairly stiff, gtreat east coast skis, acasue we dont have much powder but in up to a few inches they are nice super fast and mad poppy

i have 179 07-08 fugatives and they are by far the lightest and best park ski i have ever ridden for about a week then i took a over the handle bars fall and permanently rockered one of the tips so i took them to my abode and rockered the other tip with the chair and strap method and now they are super buttery and fun but dont handel so well on the groomers. I like them because now they are super easy to initiate the butter but they dont do so well at high speeds(chatter) but they handle well now in the medium pow levels that the ice coast gets and they are super lite and spinny....but some what stiff underfoot so they dont wash out real bad

I have 05-06 Public Enemies 164 cm.

Like: -versatile; wide enough to be ok in powder, decent in park and good for just carving and jibbing around the mountain, good for bumps

- stablility on rails and taking off and landing jumps

Dislike:Topsheet chips off in very large chunks due to die-cut graphics

-heavy, not easy to throw around really quick in the air

-chattery at high speeds in most snow conditions

- I just broke one of the tips when It hit the post at the end of a rail dead on. The ski is still held together by thebase and one side of teh fiberglass is solid, but the splinter a bit more every time I ski them. Other than that they ahve been very structurally sound though, except the topsheet.

I've got 180cm Liberty KGB's. I absolutely love how much pop they have and how good they look especially with an all white binding. But I hate the fact that they are so stiff they're really tough if not impossible to butter on.

Hey the reno's are my size im in 7th grade r they good for pow and park ?? they r a little skinny under foot for pow pow but im not sure. would u prefer the anthems in pow pow or the renos in pow pow i ski park and pow so i need a ski for both thats around 160cm length any suggestions???

I ride 179 Line Prophet 90's..Mostly out of park but I love hitting jumps and the occasional rail or box. I have old Tanner Pro Model's taht I use if I want to ski a lot of park but I prefer charging more, and this ski is ideal for that. It is incredibly stiff, snappy edge to edge and tears the shit out of anything you can ski through. They are a little heavy but charge fast as hell and I can do 360's fine and I don't notice the swing weight.

aboout 6'0 150lbs. with 177 walls and 181 ghettos.

walls-stiffer,stable and easy to pop and spin

ghettos-softer and fun all mtn and bigger booters.

165 Dynastar Nothing But Trouble..

Good looks, not very common, good flex but the tails are not lifted very high.

Also looks sick with Scratch 120's, white on white

177 Volkl Wall

I love them in every way possible. Stiffer ski which I like. Stable at high speeds, good for east coast powder, pretty much awesome all over the mountain. Couldn't ask for a better ski.

I have no cons about them.

177 Volkl Walls

Pros:

Stiff

Poppy

Can carve well off lips

Ill swtich

Cons:

Feels weird being centered

178 Scratch BC

Pros:

Stiff

Skis blast through anything

Float well

Landings always seem stomped with a wide ski

Cons:

Not as good switch esp. when used to the Wall

Heavy
