What do you like about Sarah Palin?

Ok so in light of the thread asking people to hate on Palin, I ask you this.

What do people like so much about Sarah Palin? Personally I hate her. I can't stand to listen to her speak, it literally makes me cringe. There are a lot of smart people that like her and think she's just great...why???

She has almost no experience in government, something Republicans kept saying about Obama during the election. Her voice is just ridiculously annoying. And she's a WOMAN. Just kidding. But seriously, why do people like her? I've honestly never heard a good word about her and I'd really like to know what the hubbub is all about.

I mean she says a lot of nice things. But to me they have no substance behind them. Fiscally conservative nation! 1st amendment rights! 2nd amendment rights! She never goes deeper than the surface.

Someone help me out and point out the good things in her, if they are there.
 
I like the fact that you can switch the first letters of her name around and it spells "Parah Salin".

I like her as a strong woman. I don't like her as a candidate. I identify with a lot of her views, minus the religious ones. My girlfriend wants her to be president. She's a brilliant girl, but we don't agree on that one.
 
truth, top of her nursing class, incredible knowledge of the financial world as well, and very rational. But we don't agree on the Palin thing. The fact that she has her own opinion that isn't informed by the bullshit testifies to that intelligence.
 
HAHAHA. no, she isn't religious. She was raised irish catholic but she doesn't adhere to it. She's pro choice but moderate conservative. Her fam are super conservative, but not religiously. I guess kinda like me, libertarian conservative. It's funny, her fam is irish catholic but they HATE the Kennedys. BLASPHEMY!!!

Perfect match for me, though she isn't too political, which is nice because I hate girls who try and debate politics. My gf and I just debate shit like the validity of mental disorders as real diseases, alcholism as a real disease, and drug addiction as disease. She knows more of the medical shit than I do, but I get her going by playing devil's advocate on those types of issues. For the record, I do think mental disorders are bullshit and are socially constructed, and I DO NOT think alcoholism is a disease. Generally though, I have an awesome girlfriend. Been going out for 4 years. It's the best

I cant take anyone who supports someone who is as incredibly unintelligent as Sarah Palin seriously. She thinks people walked the fucking earth with dinosaurs for fucks sake.
 
I didn't realize this was you. The icon threw me off. Anyway, there are millions of people who identify with Sarah Palin. I'm not sure you can possibly write off that many people because you don't agree with their standpoint.

Do you know who Carl Everett is? He played baseball for the Red Sox. He came out and said that "dinosaurs didn't exist". Not relevant, but hilarious all the same.

Its actually very easy to write off millions of people when they are just that fucking retarded. Its ridiculous that anyone would even consider a presidential candidate that doesnt understand 9th grade biology.
 
haha I generally agree with this guy, but what a complete Blockhead. I want to watch him fight, not bitch about healthcare. Leave that to NS threads and politicians.

To the OP. Dude my hate isn't that serious. I really don't care that much and am sorry if I have offended you. I do like how your thread has generated more funny pictures of her than mine though.
 
already went over this. Your political allegiances have nothing to do with intelligence. I don't really care though, I don't have to defend someone else's choice. She has her reasons. I don't agree with her, but she has her own opinions. That is a good thing. I don't want some stupid mindless obama drone going around talking about hope and change and sasha and malia. My school is already full of these types of girls. I like being with someone who can articulate why they are in favor or against someone. There are other benefits too which far outweigh the political ones, but I won't get into those with a bunch of people I really don't know.
 
wish we took Canada in the Revolutionary War, then we wouldn't have to deal with damn canucks. We got Montreal, but we didn't have what it took to slam Quebec.
 
To be fair, saying a politician is an idiot is like saying bears are furry. I feel the GOP forced her into a situation even she knew she wasn't qualified. And in returned, the media tore her to shreds. I just feel bad for her. Although ironically, everyone hating on her only gave her more publicity. She is now making millions because of all the attacks against her. No publicity is bad publicity. I say, good for her? She's pretty damn succesful, all things considered. But I would not want her running the country by any means.
 
I like how she is actually a conservative unlike bush, mccain. It was a mistake to have her as a vice presedential candidate because she didnt have much experience.

Most people hate her because they think she has an annoying voice(please tell me you feel the same way as hillary) and because the media tore her to pieces.
