What do you hate the most at your park?

Soft days when snowboarders hit a rail so many times there's a foot deep rut running up to it and it jacks your stance up. Also when park crew sets stuff up that no one wants to hit but themselves. Or it seems that way sometime. Errbody in my park are snowboarders

1. poorly made features

2. Not enough run-up

3. No inverts

4. Icy as hell everywhere

5. Park Rats

6. Little Kids

7. Wall slam with no ramp

Park rats and the park crew last year were all snowboarders so they were a lot of wood log to jib or things that we can't do with our skis... that really sucks cause half the park was setted llike this last year

i hate haveing the smallist park ever every jump u cant even get enough speed for and there are no landings in the correct place

I hate how there are so many snowboarders who just sit EVERY WHERE! I also hate how little kids and beginners just rome about in the park. For example, your about to hit the XL so you need a ton of speed, and then a little kid comes out from the side and rolls up the lip and down the other side so you have to do a big bail carve to stop your self.

I'm a park rat loud and proud, not going to lie I love the park and ski nothing else seeing as there is no pow pow on the ice coast and I've skied my resort for almost 11 years now so it's getting boring. My park was actually pretty decent, they had a close to 50-60ft jump this year and even though I only started park in february I still enjoyed it to the fullest. The only thing I really can complain about is the speed problems for some of the rails and boxes.

having rails put in that dont actualy stay in when your on them. rode a cat box (superwide box painted up with caterpillar paint schemes) a few extra feet down a hill once

bomb hole landings.

shitty lips i can usually deal with because they dont start out shitty, they just deteriorate. but nothing worse than landing in a hole switch and backflipping out.

there are sooo many little fucks who love to stand in front of shit. then when you yell they dont move they just sit there and stare at you like dumbfucks. then once they finally move and you get to hit it, they are back. other than them our park is pretty fun for what it is

what exactly do you mean when you say "stuff only snowboarders can hit"

my best guess is ride-on rails.

short landings, and the fact that my park crew isnt allowed to use the machines to make the jumps so they have to tell this old guy who hates the park what to do and he never does it right.

Park rats who don't really know how to ski and never leave. Maybe that's why I usually try to avoid the park.

I should add that this is often a sizable, but still limited group. Many of the park skiers at my resort are former racers.

i hate how you have to take a 20 minute class every year to get a park pass at snoqualmie. And a lot of the assholes who work there

having to pay for a park pass, and having to renew it every year.If you can ski park fine even though that's usually obvious based on clothing choice and skiing ability.Just having to watch a stupid movie and pay $10 doesn't keep anyone out of the park, if anything, it just encourages people who really shouldn't be there to try to hit jumps that're too big for them. A waiver should be the only thing necessary, signed when the lift pass is bought... oh and most of the best parks in the world have no park passes.
Oh but as for real things nothing. I love park I think it's the most fun form of skiing.

Yeah that would be really stupid, here at Park City there is nothing like that. You just buy a pass or a day ticket or whatever, and then you and anyone else can hit the parks.

all you guys saying how snowboarders are the only ones who can hit ride on rails are wrong.

i can guarantee you that any snowboarder who has been riding for more than a day HATES ride on rails, they are just as hard to hit for us as they are for you. maybe even harder. the only people ride on is good for is beginners who can only 50-50.

so... i hate ride-on rails.

i skied at whistler for 2 years and now im back at tremblant. what i hate most about my park is the freezing cold -30 weather, icey landings and shitty jumps onto rails and just shitty jumps period. they need to get there shit down with there park.

hahaha niicely done.
i hate bombed out landingspeople in the parks who are cliquish and meanfeatures that only sweet snowboarders can hit because theyre so highawesome rails that go to wastetilted railsjumps that are built to look good, but dont actually work

the kid that falls right infront of the jump and takes there good time trying to put their skis back on only to find out 5 minutes later the heel peice has to be down

flat landings

bomb holes off rails

ice everywhere

mashed potatoes later in the day

urban style rails are usually set up a little funky

BUUTT its my home mountain, so i love it anyways.

when skiers with parks skis come into the park caz they think they're so cool and just cut u off (not even doing anything, like going off the lip of the box/rail, or just going straight on)...like, i'm still new to park (can only really do boxes and rails, 270 offs, and sometimes switch ups...) but i know not to cut off someone and just go off the lip

our park is pretty fun, but our park has a lot of flats, so it's pretty tough to get any speed for a big jump.

little kids who go to slow onto in runs for boxes and rails, then stop before they are on the box. then get stuck on the box because they are so slow. Holding everyone up.

hahha i scrolled through this thread just looking for your icon to see what you had to say about smuggs mess of a so called, "park."

the biggest thing i hate is when a stupid noob gaper kid hits a jump, breaks something or messes something up and has to be carted down by ski patrol. then they close the jump for the whole day because of that, then re open it the next day after doing nothing to it.

also i hate when on the side of the cat track we have hit the same bumps and little pops so many times they basically become shaped and everyone loves hitting them, then on one busy day they put bamboos over every single one of them so we cant hit any of em on the way to the lodge or we get our passes pulled.then that night they run over all of them with the groomers and we have to take week or two of hitting them to shape em again.
