What do you guys think about Coreupt?

I know they are bankrupt and shit but they are selling their skis for 99 euros! (124 dollar)

and now im not sure if its the quality that makes them cheap or the bankrupt thingy...

so basically who rides coreupt and what do you think of them?
 
A bunch of my friends have got some through the 99 euro deal... I think they are certainly worth that but not much more, the build quality seems to be quite low, i.e. a friend had a core rip out on a Casper while just skiing a groomer, which should not have happened at all, and that was the second time he had skied them.

But yeah if I had space for more skis then I would get some too seems like a good deal
 
they seem pretty solid skis to me, I've got a set of yards, ridiculously light and poppy, there's nothing stopping the tips from delamming but I can always sort that.
 
from experience what do u think is best park model? equally good for both rails and jumps. softer flex for playfulness/flatground stuff
 
recent coreupt models are 100%legit, i've had a pair for entire last season and copped another pair a few weeks back because i was so happy about em ....also a handful of my friends have ridden coreupt and i haven't heard a single bad thing about em ...

i'm also willing to bet that that rip-out mentioned above is due to bad mounting and had nothing to do with the ski itself ...

 
That is possible, but the skis were mounted by coreupt themselves - wouldn't expect them to mess that up, and looking at the damage it seems there was not enough internal purchase for the screws to thread successfully in the core.

However, out of the 5 people i ski with who have corerupts, this has been the only problem i think, so i expect that particular ski may have been subject to a one off manufacturing defect. btw this was a casper from last year before the quality has been said to have improved... but yeah 99 euros is a bargin
 
pretty sure their quality has been pretty much the same ever since they stopped using rebranded dynastars... which was, if i'm not mistaking before the casper came out ....

so i guess it might indeed be a faulty ski, but most likely a bad mount, i've had numerous rip-outs myself and upon further inspection every single one was due to bad mounting ....
 
^^for clarification, i didn't rip out my coreupts, just a handful of other skis, including a titanium reinforced ski that is said to be unable to rip out, but here also the shop fucked up the mount by drilling too shallow, so from now on i mount em myself :)
 
If anybody's planning on getting some I've got a 25€ credit I could do with getting rid of
 
Lunatics for sure.

I've really been thinking about picking up a pair. I'm riding Dynastar 6th sense now, which is the poppiest ski I've ever ridden and it's quite stiff as well. I love it for anything hard. But I really want to try the Lunatics.
 
Is this based on something? It's no secret most pro's go through several ski's a year, but you make it sound like he's had 17 pairs this season already...
 
can't speak for the caspers but have ridden the lunatics and they aren't particularly buttery at all, pretty stiff big booter style park ski for me, not as soft as my larose pros or 4frnt clicks, felt stiff to me, fun, super solid ski though.

And now that I've heard the Lunatcis aren't very soft, I'm actually thinking about picking up a pair. I've got 181 6th sense now, super poppy, but I would really like the 4cm extra I think...
 
^^remember that coreupts run quite short since they have very big tip and tails...

anyhow, if the lunatics are anything like the coreupts i've skied so far, they're gonna have bow-like camber and provide amazing pop, unlike any ski ive ever ridden to be honest ...
 
Oh. In that case I'll just stick with my 6th's. They're 182 too, not 181. And seeing how CoreUPT used to base their models on Dynastar, I don't think they're that different - seeing how my 6th's also have lots of camber and amazing pop.
 
current coreupt models are no longer dynastar based, they have(had) their own molds ....

and yeah, they run quite short, my 183cm tj schillers have a shorter effective edge than my old 176cm movement joysticks ...

but yeah, if your D-stars are still in ok condition, no need to switch em, i've ridden a bunch of 2013 testskis a month ago and the dynastar Ace of Spades ski was the one that resembled my coreupts the most, so i think they're indeed going to be pretty similar ...

i dont know shit about the dynastars :P
 
Friend has a pair and he goes pretty hard, fast everywhere launching off of stuff kinda thing.

The skis are solid as a rock, hasn't had any problems with them whatsoever.

anyways, if you click on a ski and it says 'epuisé' on the right in the big yellow rectangle, that means they're no longer in stock ....

if they are still available you get a ton of options and 'ajoutez au panier' means add to basket

(fixation debutant / intermediare / expert respectively translates to beginner/intermediate/expert skier bindings)
 
Might be picking up a pair of Candide Pows afterall. 115€ brand new... not too shabby.

I think it would go nicely between my dedicated park ski and pow ski. Sort of an all-mountain cruiser I can jib with and can take into the park as well...
