What do you guys think about attaching pvc onto wood with zip ties?

have any of you tried this?

im thinking about drilling holes on the pvc, putting thick zipties through it and wrapping it tight against the wood underneath.

do you guys think this will work?

thanks in advance.

aight. thanks guys.

ill screw it on.

should i get washers for the screw if im screwing it pvc to wood to make it more stable?

i cant tell if you are complimenting me or being sarcastic. hahaa

either way it's cool cuz you help me out a lot and reply to a lot of my threads.

oh and btw, i wanted to use zip-ties because just in case the pvc breaks, i can replace it without having to drill through the wood it was on.

Sounds sketchy just drill holes onto of PVC and drill through the top of PVC and make shire the head of the drew goes inside the PVC then just sand the top of the pvc so u don't catch an edge on the burrs from the hole u drilled

drill in through the bottom of the wood into the pvc. do not drill in from the top, as this will lead to holes to catch on. i've tried both ways.

This. I have used zip ties for lots of things. It would be impossible to get them tight enough to not have the pipes move when you jumped on. Screws work. Use them.

i acutally used zip ties to make a rainbow rail becasue it would have been fucked to screw it together with our design. if you get the industrial strenght ones and make little v-grooves in the wood for the pvc to sit in it works fine. you might have to replace one every once in a while but super cheap and easy.
