we dont have something we call a beater, but i live in nova scotia, and you can tell who the beaters are because they wear a nova scotia now suit( rental skis, rental boots, jeans, and a bombers jacket)

gapers or "fudgies"... i live in a tourist town that is known for its fudge, so we call all the tourist "fudgies" since they seem to hit up the fudge stores like they're going out of business. depending on how strongly the word is used, it can be anything from a simple joke to a full-blown insult... never though the name of a type of candy would be derogatory, huh?

down here in the south we have 'floridiots' who try to drive the camaros from orlando to the resort. It works all the way up to the snow. That's when my buddies and i end up pushing them out of wherever the manage to get stuck.

asians... not to be racist, but there are an unlimited amount of rookie asians that have no clue how to ski here... its unfortunate. at least they apologize, even if they diddnt do anything. you can hit them with a snowball and they will say sorry

groms are little kids who are good. newbies and gapers include beginners and those who are not good. or not able to ski well.

holy shiz where do you live because at least half the mountain is asians in so cal.

i bonked one on the helmet when he ate shiz right in front of me. haha

jesus christ, why on earth do we need to be SO CEREAL?!?! ok, so tourists and gapers pump tons of money into the industry that helps everyone as a whole... so, if they're going to keep doing that while we joke about them behind their backs on NS- where i'm pretty sure they'll never go- what does it matter? i think by now we all get it that these people help the industry, but my aunt Liz makes thanksgiving dinner every year and i still make fun of her. gapers are the awkward black sheep of the skiing family and are treated as such. just because we laugh at them doesn't mean we hate them- it means we find them entertaining in a humorous way, duh. in closing, if something's silly, you should be allowed to laugh at it; gapers are silly, so we should be allowed to laugh at them.

i would like to step off my high horse and remember we're all people at the end of the day, but when i can't do that i call them "hoozers"
