Hi Guys,

i got a great deal with k2 PE 169 or ar5 170.

I'm 177cm height, 150 lbs.

Do u think i should go with one of them or they are both too short??

^i wouldn't say that on this site, but i don't think it matters that much i guess you'd spin faster, but longer skis make you go faster and it looks better in the air and there all-around better than short skis for freeride/freestyle

If you're just starting freeskiing those lengths will be fine. After one or two seasons you'll want to move up in length to something as tall as you are. Ar5s will be softer and easier to deal with but they're still a good all around ski.

 
oh and if your moving from non twin tips to twin tips, consider the fact that a 170 non twin tip, has like the same amount of ski touching the snow as a 180 twin tip

that's the point, i just started, and i bought last year a 180 ar5, they are great but i'm too inexperienced to use them i think.

so i just wanted to short down a bit.

 
Do you still have the 180 Ar5s? If yes, stick them in a closet, get a pair of 2nd hand twins or something cheap like 168 scratch ecos and use those until you're ready to move up. 180 ar5s are SICK skis once you're comfy on them. If you kept using them you probably would be eventually, actually, but whatever.

 
yeah my second year skiing freestyle last year, actually technically more like 1st, and i had 177s. they were a little above my head. they still are, but they're fine

Anyway, a gas station we pass. We got gas, and ran off to get grub.It was a nice little pub in the middle on nowhere. Anywhere woulda been better. I ordered enchiladas and I ate 'em, Ali had the fruit punch.

 
that's probably a good idea but i would try not to spend over 300, preferably like 200 on 170's because you might ski them for a month and decide you like longer skis

Do u think could be ok also to get a pair of invader 171 and to keep the ar5 for an all mountain use and also for when i'll be more experienced?

 
i personally wouldnt waste the money. 10 cm isnt that big of a difference. once you geton the hill a few times you will get used tot them

 
just use the 180 ar5s ul get used to them in a couple days

the invaders are the oppisite of my penis. the invaders are realy soft and cant be larger than 178 cm.

dude, go with what's comfortable, fuck what everyone else thinks. i'm 178cm on 169 pe's. that's where my comfort zone is, so yeah. don't let anyone else tell you how you feel about skis. they sound like pretty good deals to me.

stick that in your pipe and smoke it!
