What do resorts have against gaper day?

why are some resorts such bitches about gaper day? Snowbird wasn't letting people in costumes on the lifts and brighton wouldn't let them into the park. The shit was weak.
 
At resorts like that, gapers are their primary income. It's probably overboard to ban people from dressing that way, but I can see why they do it.
 
Well you guys should of been at Park City. We only got compliments and no one hassled us even with like 30 person trains.
 
dont want to lose customers...people would probally get pissed...i know it sucks, but imagine if people made fun of twin tippers....youd get pissed too...
 
No, I would laugh at them. In fact, Id be sure to point right at their face while laughing~
 
okok...i would too...but a family with young children wouldnt...you have to look at it as a family, you dont want to be made fun of, esp. your children...its a parents worse fear
 
im skiing at the bird for the most part this year and its a gaper haven. I can understand the not wanting to lose business idea, but honestly, just let us ski. I kinda have a feeling the majority of the tourists there are staying in the cliff or some other lodge so they aren't really losing any business.
 
hahaha i was in PC last year durin Gaper Day...my friend jumped out of the condo window, to a blaconie to get a rubber chicken, and then off the balconie into the plaza...where the freeskier shop is...funny as hell
 
Word. PC was awesome even though it wasn't sunny. It was a solid day. i feel sorry for everyone that had a shitty gaper day.
 
since when can they tell you what to wear? thats gay.

and how would gapers know they are being made fun of?
 
find it very hard to believe that there was a gaper day issue at brighton. it was a shame i had class all day yesterday.

isn't the point of gaper day just to have fun and piss about with your friends wearing dumbass costumes and snowblades, not to specifically make fun of other people? idk, whatever, thats how we do it over here- last year we wore blades from 10am, skied all day and partied till 4am. still wearing blades. epic day/night!
 
Haha still weaering the blades? Kids do that at my hill but it's because they cant get the things off.

My hills income is 95% gaper at least and even they have a weekend where the first 50 people in costumes get free lift tickets.
