What do I want??? Help me out! "Technical hoody"

Basically I want a sweatshirt that I can wear skiing. I love skiing in a slightly baggy hoody in the spring but there are 2 problems. 1. Wind cuts through a cotton sweatshirt like its not there and you can get cold pretty quick. 2. cotton sucks when it gets wet. So to that end i'm looking for a sweatshirt like cut, wind proof, and not water proof but slightly water resistant would be nice.

Does such a thing exist?

You want a "softshell" dude. It's a hoody made with technical materials, usually about 3-6k waterproof and usually has zippers over the kangaroo pocket. Any store like backcountry.com has a ton of them, usually $80-$150.

could you give me a link to one of the jackets your talking about. The only softshells i've seen are tight fitting things that middleaged guys are try to stretch over their beer guts.

I like my Flylow softshell a lot. Not super baggy, but not euro steeze either.

See if you can track down an older (1-2 years) Orage softshell. They looked great, pretty baggy.

i love my apex for both spring riding and just wearing around town. they changed the name this year to the acid rain jacket though. same jacket just different design. i find my softshell to feel more like a jacket than a hoodie, oakley also makes some technical hoodies that wont be as stiff as the softshell material but are still wind and water resistant. i have last years called the volt but i cant remember what theyre calling this years, they have a few different ones though. they are sick as well and a little cheaper.
