i am 13yrs old. been skiin seince i was 2. i want to focus on park but its hard when i ski 85% of my year at a mtn with 5 rails and one 15ft "tabletop". i am gettin kinda pissed at the fact that i can't focus on park. i would kinda like to try telemark. or start focusing on hucking and charging the mtns considerin the mtn i ski at has a total variety of pillows glades cliffs and tons of natural hits. so i am either going to get into telemarking or start charging the mtns. what should i do?

do it all son!! your young, and have tons of time to get good at both. both setups are sick in thier own way. and trust me, as someone who is limited to terrain parks most of the year, dont worry, what you have access to is FAR more fun than any park.

ski the powder...and if its a bad pow day just hit the rails, 6 rails is better than no rails

just ski, learn to ski good, if you are a good skier you can do anything on the mountain

you need to make friends with the park crew or the guy who maps out the park... and do whatever it takes to get a 65 footer in there...

What!?! What the fuck are you doing!?!? Get your ass on some pow skis and hit those natural features! Heres what to do - practice the tricks in the park (3's, 5's, switch variations) and then take that to those natural features you've got.

Your goal should be for this season to be able to ski a line, no stops, throw a 3 off something in the middle and ski away clean. Sounds hard, but trust me, its possible for someone who has beginner park experience. Finish the year of by doing something crazy - go for the backflip, small booters off a cliff are better than park jumps for learning (as long as you have powder landings!). Thats what I'd do anyways....

if i were you i'd be skiing the pow and glades. tele is definitely a way to go, but at 13 you might wanna ski another year to strengthen your legs some more, it is really demanding.

park is cool, but when i get the chance to ski big pow lines and shit, ill take that over park anyday. Dont take your shit for granted. And you can always tell the dudes at ur hill what you think of their park. Who knows, maybe they'll listen.
