Like if its a corked 7. Do they translate cork or do they have a totally different name. Like what would they call a Rodeo or Underflip? Just wondering.

in sbc skier, they call a switch rodeo 720 a switch blindside corked 720. i dont know if that has to do with anything, but gee, the new sbc skier sure does suck dick.

mommy everytime you post i hafta look at dick. its sort of disturbing..haha. but onto the topic.. idono, i would figure they would use english in naming there tricks since a lot of the newschool shnop originated here..

NewSchool originated in Quebec and Whistler more or less.

But yeah, SBC skier sucks dick. Like a whole bunch of big ones.

And yes, French people anyway, use English trick names. I am on the lift with french people and you will hear them say stuff like 'Quatre Quatre oiseau MUTE GRAB ouvrez le jambon RODEO'

In french the only thing that changes is the rotation decount. We don't say 'three-sixty' but 'trois-six' or 'trois cent soixante' and teneighty would be 'mille quatre-vingt', 'mille huitante' (french speaking Swiss) or just 'Mille huit'. We don't usually say Cork five or Rodeo seven, we usually use the whole rotation name ('Cork cinq-quatre' or 'Cork cinq cent quarante', 'Rodeo sept-deux' or 'Rodeo sept cent vingt') but this tends to change. Grabs and flip names are the same, neverless Toxic is almost never used.

English is fashionable so all french speaking riders use English terms (like 'rider' ;) ) And if a French guy invents a trick he has to call it with an english name otherwise he'll have problems selling it to your english speaking magazines !
