weve had alot of mediocore comps here in atlantic can. what do you feel we are missing???

better competition features

better prizes

better promo

better after party

better judging

better format

better athletes

all of above?

the real east starts here

depends on the hill ur askin about. the format was good for some hills last year and some it was just gay. aka snobarders against skiers, big no no

i think the prizes arent really any issue, and we can ski on whatever's there and make the best of it, but i think it'd be a really cool thing to make them more like a big party on the hill. If it's possible to promote them so that a bunch of people go and watch and have fun and that would definetly push the competitors to go better, and it'd just be pretty cool in general.

Ian. says:

oh yeah man ive been getting fucked in some way like errday

Shaun says:

Ian. says:

Shaun says:

Ian. say:

haha if this is the jungle than call me mowgli

The parks limit the comps big time..........1 jump and 1 rail slopestyles are not cool.......I know that we say that every year but eventually we need to see some change. The scene has grown into something that deserves a good venue, not a snow death pile.......Poley was a good setup.....but still space limted. The ski hills have no excuse except penny pinching to build a competetive terrain park. They have all the resources needed to build the stuff we see in the smaller hills in Maine/Quebec. I've seen people, and they know who they are, spend countless hours of their own time and money trying to get this point across. The hills listen, say they will do someting, but...it never happens.......with increased fuel prices it will be interesting to see what the park budgets are like this year..........The guys at Wentworth / Martock do what they can with the budgets they are given but management really needs to throw some coin at the future of skiing..........

^You mean that they are going to have to use the groomer less because of gas prices? NOO! :(

getting the mountain to let some one experienced build the park would be ideal so you dont get so many shittliy built features..... poley might have a couple skiers helping build the park this year which would be awsome.. there was a one or two that helped a bit last year

Better hill support.

Fill your cup up then chug, Roll a joint up and get fucked, Ready for a kitchen party, Welcome to the Maritimes!

definatly better hill suport. we have plenty of experienced skiers around when ever most fetures a built, at wentworth at least. i cant say the same about other hills cause i dont know

i had fun at the wentworth comps last year.just better set up features is great. but is you are having a comp you must have some prizes. and a couple chances to do a run because sending 20 dallors out and skiing for 3 minutes in the park then geting eliminated is not fun

any chance of having a skier cross at wentowrth or martock? or a skier division in the one they have at martock?

yeah, thought the the wentworth comps were really fun, we even got free red bull at one. I personnally think most of the comps at wentworth and poley are pretty good for our scene being prety small, i mean you pay like 10-15$ and you get to ride the park all day, in prime condition, with no rental retards there, and even if you wont place there always some pretty good draw prizes!I got pink fuses, and a bunch of tees and stuff, so i was pretty stoked on them. But to make them better, maybe set up a lipslide to a rail and make a really nice jump that boots you and it really trickable

i agree with shaun if the comps were mroe liek a prty on the hill it would make the competitors go way bigger, and there has to be bigger features with more possibility for creativity. the format just needs a little tweaking, the best iv seen so far would be the poley rail jam it was sick everythign was good excapt that fat fucker who made people buy passes.

I think that it would be awesome if someone around here organised just like a comp, but not realy a comp...Like no judging, no stuff like that...I dont know, I get myself...Or maybe the prize would go for best trick or something...
