I was a hockey player for 9 years. It used to be my favorite thing to do, I loved it and it was all I thought about. I started skiing 5 years ago. I started out just recreational skiing, and I really liked it, so I kept going and each year a skied a little more than the previous year. Last year I really became addicted to skiing. Whenever I had hockey I just wanted to be skiing. It got to the point where I was skipping hockey sometimes to ski, even though my coach got mad at me. This year I didn't register for hockey. I just want to ski as much as possible. Now I'm focusing on skiing all the time.
Anyone else have a similar experience?

i stoped baseball cause i didnt want to miss skiing during the last week ends to go to the AA tryouts haha...

well i quit school. every other sport i used to play other then running. hanging out with friends in the winter. work. pretty much everything that got in the way of skiing.

basketball unfortunately, but it was well worth it, i ski more now then I have ever before and i don't regret quiting backetball

lets see i quit hockey, basket ball, and like all school sports except for the ski team cause everything got in the way of my skiing time

I played hockey for 8 years, I loved it and I still do but I am not playing this year. It is strange for me to read the paper and have former teammates playing junior level hockey and I am not there, that for me is kinda strange.

I just really love skiing above anything else and I figure if there is any chance of a career I need to be out alot and push myself daily and If i get hurt hockey coach goes nuts and i dont wanna deal with that.

I will still play pond-hockey and that quite a bit though..

i split my ski time 50/50 with my soccer time, cause i love both way to much to pick one

soccer and ski team once a weak each, and skiing on sundays and soccer on saturdays

hockey for 5 years it was a great choice and also stopped playing basket ball on school teams

I quit cyclocross, I don't have much of a social life outside of my friends that I ski with, I don't do homework or much school for that matter, I quit my job at Bicycle Village so I could ski more, I barely see my GF anymore because I ski so much. I think that's about it.

I was debating quitting my girlfriend, until i found out shes better than your average gaper at skiing

baseball back in high school and recently i quit my job as a server because i had to work weekend and that was not going to work with all the trips i have planned

Ski racing. I also did not want to find a job for fall cause I knew that I would not be able to ski as often. Fuck money as long as I can ski..

in the past, any chance at haveing a serious girlfriend..

i wouldnt say i quit anything however i have cut down on other sports and activities so that i can ski more

basketball. i wasnt very good anyways. i cut back a lot on pre season lax in the winter. i prioritize

Well I wish I could quit my job, but I work at a ski shop so I can't really take it for granted.

But i quit homework, caring about schoolwork, track, uhhh sometimes partying, but I still manage.

i base my entire year around being able to ski all winter. I work my ass off all summer so I can have the winters off to ski. when there's snow on the ground, everything else takes a back seat.
fully dedicated
