What did you learn today...

^sweet trick

on a flat down i landed first try noseslide switchup to back tailslide

on a wallride nosebluntslide the deck, 360 out

and back tailslide 270 out

uh today i didnt learn anything new really except uhh i did some practice on the wall and tried some shit on that and worked on getting a smooth tailpress on the c box.

past feb break I noseslid a downbox with stairs. almost a backlip/frontboard (it was a boz with no side entry, kind of went backlip style) 270 out

today I learned about feminist literary criticism, theories of philosophically defining emotion, and the industrialization of Japan during the Meiji period. Seriously though, I haven't been up in 2 weeks (hence the bitterness and sarcasm, sorry) due to injury.. but last time I went up, I learned I should scope out runs a bit before I ride down at top speed into the death cookies.

chinnese fire drills on box's incase you dont' know what they look like/are

on a small box but it was the first day trying them

Today i learned good front boards on down rails. Like over my binding . And 50 50 front one out and i got smoother with my nose grab 5's i couldnt get around the 7 with the grab

NO. Almost. Koodzy saw me almost land it but i went wierd and corked at the last second and the wind got taken from my lung haha it was only like the right one. But i can only do them with a nose grab and i always slide out. i came close though

i heard that was called bus driver idk some guy told me that at a big air this weekend. i just grab my toe edge with both hands inbetween my bindings

i grab truckdriver like a crail with right arm and melon with left arm. so both arms are just in front of front binding but on toe and heel edge.

corked cab 5's. i still need to work on corking them out a little more though i didnt drop the shoulder enough.

i got sevens a couple weeks ago but i cant get grabs with them its effin hard and last week i i got blunt to danish out(front board on your tail to 270 out)on a down bar

bus driver= indy and mute

truck driver=indy and melon

drunk driver=mute and stalefish

i learned 270 front blunt switch up back board. back lips on rails. alley oop spins... off the toe frontside. and nollie back tails.

well yesterday i learned that the east coast blows, and that landing on ice on your back/neck and breaking 2 vertebrea putting you out for the rest of the season is no fun.

its really not fun.

especially right before spring loaded jam at killington.

at least ill be ready to ride by june for mt hood.

Ahhhh thats so sick ive been workin on those on jumpers.... resulted in tail catch and delam on my endeavor, ill post a pic of the carnage sometime

I just learned that on Saturday as well! I landed on my feet, but it was about 15 feet past the bottom of the landind, compressed 2 of my vertebrae.

Hooray for season-ending injuries.

yea man it's pretty awful. i was so bummed out when the doctor read the x-ray and told me what happened. I'm not gonna lie, i got a bit teary-eyed. I'm in surprisingly little pain though, and i don't have to wear a brace or anything, just popping painkillers and not picking up heavy things. I compressed L1 and L2, they're the ones in the small of your back. which ones did you fracture? probably similar ones. Just be glad that nothing happened to your "C" ones, those are the ones up by your neck that cause paralysis and permanent damage.

yeah mine were a little more serious, i was so bummed too. i fractured t3 and t4, a little higher up. i think thats why they gave me the brace. i got so lucky though it could have easily been my neck.

do you noboard?? I read about that in the Snowboarding Journal (RIP)... looks tough but soo awesome. I wanna try it someday.
