^exactly. pollard dominated rails with steeze AND tech before anyone else. way before anyone else. then he moved to the backcountry and dominated BC booters once everyone began to go through a rail phase. then, he moved to AK lines when everyone went through their BC booter phase. he was and is always one step ahead of the game.

No one can do what Pollard can do in the BC. He is super down-to-earth and keeps progressing. He's also shown his loyalty to Line by carrying their team during a slump. Imagine how many companies would pay big bucks to have him ride their skis. He's still with Line and that says a lot.

 
people, i'd like to remind you that he did more than just reinvent BC skiing...he ushered in an era of steezy park skiing as well, with an equal focus of rails and jumps...

that is the stupidest question ever. eric pollard is one of the best skiers in the world in all disciplines.

ya this raises disheartening question for me. kids on this site who have close to a 1000 posts (like the kid who started this thread) but still have no idea who Eric Pollard is or any grasp on the history of our sport? this is sad people.

every says he falls way too much in his segments, but if u watch his movie parts every year, the things he fell on one year he's stomping the next. PLus, he's the only one i've seen doing cork 9's on skis as big as the prophets

i actually new a lot of this i just didn't know how big it was and i watched royalty and he is just so ahead of the times i'd rather find out about him then spout how great he is and not know what i'm talking about

if you want a really good explanation of what Eric did for the sport what the old TGR movie called Subject to CHange. In that movie almost everyone was skiing like the collins brothers( this mean doing double front flips and double backs) . Eric was holding it down with a massive flate 3 ( in the backcountry) he also did the best zero spin i have ever seen. His style is untouchable. Even tanner cant touch his steeze.

 
And that thing about EP staying with line; i think that while he is being faithful to Line he stays on Line cuz they build him whatever the fuck he wants; i mean who would build the prophets? Not salomon.
