What crews piss you off in Montana?

haha most people from big mountain know about the xs energy crew or whatever theyre called.

they are so badass that they fight the 50 year old guys who ski down landings and throw snowballs at little girls.

I thought this thread was going to be a joke, now I see why the issue came up.

Fuck crews, get some friends and ski.

Most truly sick riders do it all alone, no one can hold your hand in the air or make you ski better. I was down at Keystone all last week and people are too good there to talk shit, when Peter O and Henrik L. are rolling deep all day there is no need to talk shit, they own you. Wish we had a better park scene, there may be tons of people down there (lots o gapers), but much less posers than BS.

So is it that MT has a large number of total posers or what???

hahaha first off this shit is hilarious!! Second, anyone who gets hated on by supposly 'crew' probably deserves it cuz they are gapers and just gape every feature in the park. BS2 crew is definitely helping elevate the ski industry in montana, which everyone should respect to some degree. If you cant take hate then you shouldn't ski, cuz it makes you a better skier and they are probably giving you advice that will help you have better steeze.... so take off your snow blades and ski!

they are all in their 20s and are pretty good at skiing and snowboarding.

one guy wears a white and dark green siver coat, has last years foils, and wears a hat and spy gogs all the time. then theres a couple snowboarders who are pretty good.

biolo skis with them sometimes but i've never seen him talking shit to anybody.

yeah i know who you are talking about. they get wasted and go night skiing and talk shit to pretty much everyone they see.. haha but now i know a kid who used to snowboard with them and he's the man, i chill with him. Those kids are pretty fuckin ridiculus though.

oh i see. i rode up chair 3 one time with that skiier kid and a snowboarder; they were kinda funny actually

totally agreed. when u ride alone u have no drive to try anything new. ur state of mind automatically kicks into a "well who do i have to impress". i never seen a good ski movie where only one person shreds a spot, there's usually multiple shots of different people ridin it. which again means ridin with a crew of people will always be better then ridin by urself...

yeah one night a couple years ago, max konopatske, bjorn and some kids were snowskating and those kids came down to the box they were hitting and tried to start a fight. the skier had his ski off and was waving it around like a sword and shit. then im pretty sure ski patrol came down and made all of them leave.

I meant that sick skiers don't need crews at all, but your right most have them. For me and my friends growing up in Colorado, it was our own minds that held us back, and we did help each other but its man for man out there; having your buddies puffin you out all day can hold you back. Most of the pros of having a crew have to do with off-hill shit, and on hill non-skiing shit.

ski for yourself man. But, I agree that skiing alone does suck most times. Ski filming is very very very different than real life skiing, you also rarely see filming done outside the park at resorts.

Ya i ride with those kids. Koon, Drew, and pete just like to have fun, and they back it up with their riding. Just hate on gapers.

ture, that why you ride w/ me....i fucking push you to the edge and sometimes off!!!!!!!!!!!hahaha but crews (appereantly the new word for groups) are the way to go when shreding..

I ride with those dudes too. They slay shit, and thats their home mountain so why shouldn't they talk shit on whoever they want! YESH!

im all for having fun and hating on the occasional gaper who uses the lips to the rails as jumps but just to talk shit on whoever and stuff is lame, those are the kind of mountains i hate becasue the vibe is negative unless your one of them.

Totally agree. I usually even get bad vibes from people being dicks to gapers.

Also, to the guy above: It's not "their" mountain, although I'm sure they'd love to claim it as theirs.

This thread is so rediculous, I hope people from other regions aren't reading this.

obviously your a fag, just look at your gay icon. You're probably one of the gapers they yell at! Gapers cause the majority of injuries in terrain parks. The gapers need to stay out of the park until they can actually hit a box or rail. Would you like hitting a jump, come around on your rotation, and land on a gaper that just rode over the landing? what if you just killed that gaper because he doesn't know what the terrain park jumps are for or what calling a 'drop' is. Or a kid is about to slide a rail but a lil gaper hits the rail jump from the side causing the other kid to rack his balls. That kid won't be able to have kids cuz some dumbass gaper cut him off. ilikepowder...your a gay-per

i agree, i try to keep to me and my friends but when a gaper comes through the park and snags your line to hit the jump on a rail...they need to get yelled at.

in other words gapers are fine unless they are complete dumbassez

Everyone has to start learning somewhere, although I agree that learning process can be hazardous to others. How are they going to learn to hit a box or rail if nice people like yourself won't let them in the park? Still, I doubt yelling obscentities at gapers is going to help.

Luckily, I don't spend too much time in the park so it doesn't bother me that much.

this thread has a bad vibe...and i agree whay the hell do people insist on talking shit? thats what bugs me. everyone is at the mountain to chill and have fun dont fuckin think u the shit cuz everyone knows u. fuckin shit talkin is played

first of all big mtn. crew is the shit. you gapers are just jealous cause you got weak steeze! stop hatin. one love.

Not to disrespect the maker of this thread, but i thought i would post rant here.

Skiing is getting far to complex for me anymore. I mean there's all this

"What crew are you with?"

"where do you ski mainly at?"

"Why are you skiing with poles, why not?"

"What tricks can you do?"

"Why dont you wear a xxl jersey?"

"Why do you snowboard if you ski?"

I think one question that everybody should ask themselves is why do you ski?

I ski to get away from stress, be with friends, and be happy. After reading countless threads in NSG and SG about what skiing is, i think I'm behind the times. I guess it all goes back to Bob Dylan's "The times they are a changing."

As far as Montana goes, we are all from Montana and should be thankful for it. I mean we should be accepting of our fellow locals. Considering we don't get respect from the mountain itself (Big Mountain employees only caring about tourists.)

Sorry for ranting, thanks for reading.
