HI NS!I have some homework. We had to find some random statistic and then survey x amount of people to prove it relatively true or false. Research (wikipedia) says that only 3% of the world has green eyes, so this is what I picked for my stat.

so tell me the color of your eyes and I will give you karma galore.

i am not great in statistics, but when you want to check something in the 3% range, then you would need some hundreds entries to make SOME kind of assumptions?

i am pretty sure you do for getting a significant result (0,95-0,99)

this is true!but I'm at CMC so basically if I turn in a piece of paper with any amount of numbers on it then I will get an A. like some kids are only surveying our class so it's pretty lax.

btw me I have green eyes

Your statistics received from this survey should be thrown out.

A voluntary response survey like this often causes bias. For example, people with green eyes, since they know that they have been quoted to make up 3% of the population, may respond more than people with other eye colors to prove the statistic wrong, or to speak for their portion of the population which they may assume to be undercovered since they are a minority, but intern introduce bias and skew the data.
