What Clothing Brand Should I Support?

Quality is mediocre and owner is one of the biggest tools in skiing

Someone explain the virtika hate. Never owned any virtika, is it just bad quality or is there another reason

Thank you! I am putting out the badd Shawty in black next Friday along with plenty of other headwear options.

OP:

I haven’t gotten into tech outerwear yet but I do put out some nice jackets sometimes and im working on a new crossover type pant that is valid on hill and off.

I'm really interested in that crossover type pant, when is it going to drop?

Still perfecting the details so it’s hard so say a timeline. Could be February or might be next season. We will see

Haha damn my bad then. I guess I just got lucky cuz my pants are legit. No way they stack up to company's like Patagonia, wasn't trying to make that comparison

Except they dont? I've only ever had a hoodie from back when they were First Drop and that shit was garbage. There have also been tons of reports on here of the seams frequently rip out of the pants and the waterproofing on jackets not standing up after a good amount of time.

Occasionally people find a piece from them that holds up, but compared to the other companies in their price rage like an Oneill or Saga, hell even Montec at this point - Virtika just doesn't compare. I think do think it's unfair to compare them to an actual technical outerwear company like a patagonia or flylow.

I guess I'll start counting down the days until my pants breakdown. Genuinely surprised, did not know that they had such widespread problems with the stitching

Last bibs I owned had logo falling off and stitching ripped out of the cargo pockets. Cuffs by the boot were all shredded too. It’s whatever but if you’re the biggest douche AND your stuff falls apart then ima wear something else

went with 686 bibs this year. wouldn't normally throw $ at a primarily snowboard brand but since they are starting to hook up guys like p white and duncan adams i figured i'd try them out

early impressions - they fit great and the material seems suuuper tough. waterproofing has yet to be tested but i'm optimistic about them

686 remains the only outerwear I've tried that the gear felt noticeably tougher than any other brand.

[tag=137890]@tri_photo[/tag] real alphas ski in MTB gear, especially full face helmets with glasses on underneath

Saga is cool but there are so many brands out there at much more reasonable prices. Just google search like a fiend and youll find some stuff you like

686 is the easy choice.

This^^

686 is easily one of the best values out there rn in gear. I got a pair of Forest Bailey bibs for $110 last year and they’ve held up so well- and I’ve put them through pow days, urban, mount hood spring pass, and everything in between.

my outerwear at this point consists almost entirely of Yoke Collection and 686
