What cheap wax iron should I get?

I’m looking at them on amazon and I have no clue what to get but I want one around 30 bucks. They all seem to have mixed reviews or no reviews at all like a typical amazon product. Which one do you have or recommend I get

This one looks decent and well built. Racewax sells lots of great tuning and wax products. Looks similar to the more expensive Swix model I have.
 
 
Wax is temperature based not location based so to maximize speed for that day in those temperatures, you’d chose either the warm/moist snow, mid/universal or cold temp wax depending what the temps of snow were. That being said, most non racers will choose a quality universal temp wax that will ski great in most most conditions. If I was just starting a ski maintenance kit, I’d pick up a big block of universal temp wax which you’ll end up using most often anyway and then eventually add some warm and cold waxes options. I use KUU universal waxes myself and they have been a great wax especially for the money. Add a plastic wax scrapper and some brushes to remove and polish the wax off and you’re golden!

Quickly looked on Amazon and saw this which is a great deal.

Get a plexi scrapper for $6. Metal can harm edges or base if you’re inexperienced. Plexi more fool proof for wax removal and use steel for ptex.
 
Used an old school clothes iron without holes for years and it was fine too. The newer Ones with holes can get old wax trapped in the holes so if you can find one without holes even better.

Just be careful as a clothes iron can reach much higher temps than a ski wax iron, so start low and find the lowest temp that your wax melts without smoke. I even taped down the temp switch after setting it to prevent myself from hitting it higher by mistake.
