so mom said that if i work forty hours a week she would co-sign for a car loan, so...what kind of car should i get?

i have a dark blue 2005 gmc sierra extended cab pick-up with a six foot bed, i would totally keep "winchester" but she isn't 4x4. i want a 4x4 or AWD car/truck for when i go to college in colorado.

should i get a...

new jetta?

used land rover defender?

Anything diesel yo....saving money, and sounds awsome. The defender has soo much more ski bum steeze.

But yeh in all seriousness, looks like you want a serious car that you can beat the piss outta and still drive around.

I have had my Grand Cherokee since 95 and its got daum near 300k miles on it and has only had one major issue which was my fault.

They cannot be beat as far as reliability.

yeah i know but she had land rover in her thing. and everyone loves a land rover. she also said she wants something with 4 wheel drive. So that is where i got the WRX from

its a 4 door wrangler and its one hell of a car if you ask me. My buddy has one with I believe a 9 inch lift on it, and front and rear arb lockers. Shit cannot be stopped no matter what it comes across.

Its the dankmobile for sure. No where you can't go haha.

Yeh they are, like you could not have two more different cars haha. Land Rover is for offroading, subby is for rally.

You can't take a subby on the same shit you could take the land rover, but the subby is a pretty sick little car, def not what I'd recommend if you wanna do hardcore offroading though.

haha oh I'm down with Jeeps for sure dude. I'm just saying I liked the 2 dr way better. I think they only made the 4 dr to make money. But you can't really blame them, its what the industry is about.

Remeber, you can only buy these bastards used these days cause they wanted to focus on the "military aspects of hummer" Pshh. Bullshit

dont buy a new car b4 u go to college, you wont be making much money while in school so it will be a nightmare to try and pay for it, find a used car locally that someone is getting rid of, but they kept good care of it. Get a new car when you get done with school. I would recommend a car of some sort with AWD, like an older Audi or something, thats what I have/had.

chevy - no

jeep cherokee - no

jeep wrangler - oh yes with a 12 inch lift

subaru's - too wimpy

hummer h1 - fuck yea, but out of my price range

hummer h2 - overrated, and it's still a tahoe chassis

hummer h3 - i really like those for some reason

toyota fj cruiser - i really like those too, no clue why

audii - hell yes, too expensive though

ford f-250-450 - hell yes, nothing beats the roar of a diesel ford with a 12 inch lift. still out of my price range though

i'm really leanin towards a jetta. do they come with a diesel engine? i really love diesel engines, but i've never had a car diesel though. i've had a 3500 chevy crew cab with an 8-foot bed and that thing was a dream to drive.

i was thinkin that too, but you should see my truck in the rain. it looks as though i should be in tokyo drift, that's why i play "tokyo drift" by the teriyaki boyz in my truck when it rains lmao. just imagine me in the snow.

too wimpy? with 245 horses and a 6 cylinder engine they are far from wimpy. besides that fact that they are a tank in the snow.

dur da dur!!!

i'm so dumb, i knew that.

subaru's don't fly as cool in florida.

florida conversation:

what's your whip aspen?

oh, i drive a pimped out subaru.

**crickets**

colorado conversation:

what's your whip aspen?

i drive a subaru.

you're so dag, aspen!

i gotta keep my reps up in both states, man.

yeap.

one of my dream cars would be a black f-450 with a 12-in lift and some gnarly 20's.

i do have a girly side though, that's why i just love the new jetta's. but diesel is still manly. lol.

Get a TDI if you want a car that sounds like a go kart. If you want a good ski car that can haul ass get an impreza. Buuuut it sounds like you're more into the off-roading scene, so I'd suggest buying the biggest truck possible, lifting it two feet, putting on an 8" exhaust, and switching to a diet consisting entirely of Copenhagen and Bud Light.

THAT'S MY DREAM!!!!!

but not with bud light...budweiser is good.

and a tennis ball for my cb radio antenna.

and no...i am not loaded...not even close.

i'm like "SWEET SIXTEEN!" and i say "THAT'S HAWT!" or "THAT'S JUICY" like all the time.

jk...i'm not like that.

i want a very affordable car that has all the super shit in it.

you know what...fuck the environment!

sure we are doing damage to the ozone layer but you can't stop it now!

also, STOP CUTTING DOWN TREES! trees take most of the carbon dioxide outta the air!

Actually, SAVs (sub-aquatic vegetation, aka algaes, kelp, etc.) produce 80% of the world's oxygen, not trees.

And by 20s on the F-450, I hope you were referring to rims and not the tires, although either would be pretty pointless. Getting a huge lift on a truck like that would be used for off-roading I assume. Doing that on 20" tires or 20" rims is pointless. If I misunderstood what you were referring to, then you may bite my face off.

Do you know what kind of mileage the Sierra would get? The 1500s I've owned got between 9-18mpg, but the newer ones seem to be getting better than that. Might want to keep that in mind, especially if you're going to college. I'd go with the diesel Jetta since you're against Subies. I own both a giant truck ('92 Silverado 1500 with 4" suspension lift, 4" body lift, 37" muds, and other custom shit... gets 9-12mpg) and a gas car ('98 Corolla.. gets 35-45mpg), and it works great! I love having my Corolla.

i was talking about carbon dioxide. i know that aquatic vegetation produces most of the oxygen on earth.

20 inch tires? think i'm stupid? i live in the middle of florida also known as redneckville. and we have croom road where we go mudding at. the croom forest is pretty well known actually, i saw ricky carmichael's rig out there like a year ago. and no, i'm not gonna bite your face off. and besides, it's just a dream i have.

i have a 2005 sierra 1500 V8 right now, and she get's approximately 16.7 mpg. that's also part of the reason of why i want a jetta along with the all wheel drive, and a stick, maybe (hopefully).

Uhh, I'll just dismiss the first part of that post as a brain fart. You do understand the concept of photosynthesis, I hope. Most of the oxygen is produced by aquatic vegetation because most of the carbon dioxide is consumed by them. Fourth grade biology: plants (yes, this includes the ones in the ocean) take in carbon dioxide and water, and with chlorophyll and the energy gathered from light, they produce oxygen and glucose (some of the glucose is converted to starch, stored in the leaves, and later converted back to glucose for consumption). Oxygen is actually a biproduct of glucose production. So there you have it, just for refresher, since you seem to be confused.

No, I don't think you're stupid, but I do think 20-inch rims on an off-roading vehicle are stupid. If you plan on putting them on a different set of tires than the ones you use for off-roading, then more power to you, but that just seems like extra work, to me. I guess it'd be cheaper than having two trucks, though, hey? Haha. Sorry, I'm not trying to bash your dreams, I guess I was just looking at the practicality of the whole thing. I have dreams of my own that you'd probably think were ridiculous.

I hope you find a great, reliable vehicle that runs well and pleases you. Best of luck with the search.

ummm...ok...we were talkin about the same exact thing, but i was mostly on the carbon dioxide part of it because i was talking about trees. whatever, i don't want to get into it.

and no, i would never go off-roading with 20's. that would be a bad seen. i go mudding in crappy old chevy's and ford's.

only but a jeep if its a wrangler. The whole line of Cherokees suck ass and break down like crazy. WRX's are fun as shit and have plenty of horses but ground clearance is an issue if you live in a place where it can snow 6 inches+ in a short period of time. You can never go wrong with any 4x4 toyota. The new FJ's are sick as hell to. Land Rovers get crappy MPG.

Honestly though, I would just keep what you have or get a used car/truck/suv at a cheap price. Car payments suck ass so why not keep what you have or if you must get something else, why not have cheap payments? If you have something new you always have to worry about dents and dings, keeping it looking new, insurance costs blahblahblah. With a used car you won't have to worry as much, have cheaper payments, cheaper insurance and so on. I drive an 86 4Runner with 269,000 miles, it has 4wd, has a removable hardtop, a big backseat (c; etc. I pay only $115 bucks a month for a small loan that i used to fix it up. Sure as hell beats 200+ payments each month and if somethings breaks on it, its definetly a lot cheaper to fix and older used car than a newer one.

There's my two cents

subarus will kill the shit out of anything except maybe a ford 350 or chevy 3500 , bombproof cars and they pretty much destroy the snow. and they come in awd...even better
