its not a beetle b/c the rear slope of the hatch is off id place my bets on an old citroen, puegot, or possibly a renault, it could also be a fiat. back in the 60's and 70's the italians were pumpin out tons of econo shit boxes that all got good gas meilage and looked exactly the same.
