So Basically I have 10k For a car and insurance for the year, so I really only have 5k for the car itself.

What I Need In A Car:

Drivable in 4 seasons.

Something I can take to the track on the odd day.

Fun to drive.

Manual Or Auto.

Reliable & Cheap for repairs.

Not a truck.

Under 5000$ canadian.

+K to those who help, and Inb4 Subaru.

not gonna cost 5 grand of insurance..... but it will be expensive and gas is expensive so its good to save more aside for that shit too but yeah not 5000 to insure lol

Get something cheap on gas. Everyone on here will say Audi, or Subaru, although they are sweet cars, I'd personally get me something that I have to fill up every 2 weeks.

Late 90's 3 series, or get a 5 series if you wanna feel like more of a baller.

You should be able to score a 5 series with the m sport package in your price range.

So I Basically found love.

A '98 Impreza Wagon.

Packing a Version 4 STI Swap. :)

Meeting with an insurance agent on Wednesday, and if all goes well I should be scooping it up early next week.

so when you wreck it and the shop sends your insurance the bill with a bunch of sti parts on it that your insurance company has never seen before they're going to pay for it right?

I'm fully aware that this is Canada.

I am living in Canada after all.

What exactly is your point?

Oh, ahaha. Well in my city, you can't get a used BMW, like the ones you said for under 5k. In the US you probably could.

This. My dad drives one of these, he's had it for 8 years now I think and hasn't really had any problems with it and it still runs great. It also handles well in the snow. It's not too big, but plenty big to fit a bunch of skis in or even a bike or two.

I'm not sure what years or prices to look at, but definitely something to look into.

excuse me, but isn't an sti engine high compression? thus needing a high octane gasoline?

you said you are on a limited budget?..
