i want to get a really good still/35mm cam. but have no idea what to get. i would like some ideas of good ones to look at.

how good is really good. entry level DSLR? I'd say Canon Digital Rebel Xt or Xti. personal preference. now you're gonna get 40 posts saying Xt, D50/D70, or searchbar noob, cause this seriously has been posted 345 times

he said still 35mm thats not digital.

im not sure how many threads are about 35mm cameras so maybe before you use sarcasm you should read what the thread is about.

but yea 35mm cameras...generally you dont have to spend a lot of money on them...however your going to want a macro zoom lens, and those are whats going to bring you down. just check ebay dude there pretty much the same minus optical precision. you should really know how to use a 35mm camera first though before you shoot with it. cause your photos honestly will NOT turn out, and i can guarentee you that.

i really really like Nikon cameras, i have 2 35mm nikons, an old N2000 and a N60 i have had for close to 10 years, never any problems with either. and im about to spend about 2 grand a get a nikon D200, Flash, and fisheye lens.

for a 35mm still, get a Canon EOS1 w/ a power booster. Then you can shoot 6 fps. A setup like that runs around $300 used.

better be a 10.5 or your wasting your money

If your intrested in digital all you need is

d50 body

18-70mm dx

and a backpack

for film it may seem cheaper to start but eventually film prices may get to you. Sure film has a lot of positive sides too but id say for film

nikon n80

50mm 1.8
