i say check out the teneighty boots from salomon.. so comfy, i tried them on last weekend.. they are also stiff enough to go all over the mountain.. if you are lookin for a stiffer boot check out the pro- model from salomon. good luck and happy boot hunting.!
try on as many as you can. Salomon pro's are a decent boot, Nordica makes a nice bunch of boots, and rossignol is a hit and miss with their free ride series. not many people's feet fit into them, but for the few that fit and bought from me last year, they loved them.
i have a pair of rossi freeride XX boots with about 25 days in them I'm selling for $100. I love them and have added a neoprene liner on the tongue to reduce shin bang. A boot fitter in Boulder did it that works with Auclair, Moseley and oters. I got a screaming deal on Head boots so that's why I'm letting them go. It's a steal of a deal.
