What boots to get?

I'm 14, 5'9, 120 pounds, and a fairly aggressive skier. I ski for the powder, and do a lot of chutes in trees, reasonably sized drops (6-10feet) and I love making as few turns as possible in big bowls. I'm getting into big mountain style riding, and also backcountry touring. I want some boots with a good walk mode, but also really good downhill performance, and on the lower side of the price range. k+ for the most helpful comments and suggestions.

go to a bootfitter, get boots that fit really well and not ones that just "look cool" like full tilts for example, it defiantly pays off in the long run

so are most of the people at the ski shops boot fitters or do stores have a specific person who is a boot fitter?

specific person and FT boots actually fucking suck, dont lisen to these 12 year olds.

go to your shop and ask to get fitted, boots are the most important thing you can buy, if your feet are happy youll be happy

boots aren't a fun purchase (like skis or new outerwear), but they are undoubtedly the most important piece of ski equipment.

take some time to find the best boot fitter in town. race teams often have connections to experienced boot fitters, and the best boot fitters (not coincidentally) often work in race shops. don't worry about whatever new gimmicky gadget comes out on next year's park boots. don't even worry about getting a park boot at all. whatever fits best is the best boot for you, within reason of course. throw on some blinders and entirely disregard the boot's graphic.

buy on the small side if there's ever a question between two sizes: a boot punch is much easier and more effective than bontex and foam work. your liners will also pack down, effectively adding volume to it.

i just dropped 630 bucks on my new boots after buying 225 dollar footbeds, and i don't regret a penny of it.

i can personally attest to this. when i first bought my dropkicks i was a total gaper just getting in the park. my first day out i stomped my first switch double wobble 1260 octograb. the next trick i landed was a double cork 5 (suck it frej johnson). If i upgrade to hot doggers i know i'll land some triples.

i think i spelled frej's name wrong.
