What bindings if my foot is still growing?

Yeah okay another stupid binding thread, i am not sure what binding to get because i think my feet are still growing but i am not really sure. The main thing i am asking is should i get marker schizos because you can adjust them? and is it really worth it? i think if my feet grow it will only be one more size (10-11) but can you adjust a normal binding if my foot does grow? So yeah, thanks for the help in advance!

I'm not real sure how Schizos work but I think some sort of demo binding might work better and be less $$$$?

Oh yeah and i forgot to mention weight, i wan't them to be light enough for park, i have heard that the demos are real heavy. Thanks anyway!

PX or Axial2 have a bigger adjustment range than most. Get your shop guy to mount them to optimise the range.

Thanks! does anyone know how the px's hold up as a park/all mountain binding? are they light enough for park?

The px ti's are bombproof and cheap....as far as the schizos go though...they wouldn't work how you want them to...the toe and heel pieces move together and not independently... But yeah a px would be exactly what your lookin for....I had the ti's and beat the heck out of em and they're still in great condition.

Thankyou!! are the ti's you are talking about salomons? because that's what i could find but i'm not sure.

When you take your bindings in to get mounted, mention that your foot is still growing. This way, they can mount them with the heel piece set closer to the front of the track.

No the ti's are the look px titaniums....they're a touch heavier than the regular px's but they won't break if you slip off a box or anything like that....but you can find leftovers really cheap and it's a bombproof binding....oh sorry it's the look px12ti.....check the din range against what your riding now though.

The mojo 12's I ride can be adjusted 2 sizes I think. So mount them at there smallest setting and you could go up 2 sizes. $120 for 2009 mojo 12's on levelninesports.com

if the binding is in the center of the track, MOST bindings can adjust about 10mm either direction (excluding fks and a few select others)

I second the remont option. Rember if you get a bigger boot and move the heel back to accomadate it your changing your mount point. For instance if you get your skis centered then moved to accomaddate a boot 2 sizes bigger, you will be skiing at -2cm not center. So really just get them remounted, so youknow your skiing them where would be best for you. Regarding the schitzos you can actually adjust both the boot size and postioning on the ski, so you would not have to get them remounted, but you would have to ski with a schitzo binding which I would hate to do.

Thankyou so much everyone!! I am going to get look px12 ti's and then if my foot grows i will just get them remounted! Thankyou again!

lololol no you wont! if the heel piece moves back 2 cm, that doesn't mean the middle of the boot is moved 2cm off center, it would only be 1 or a half cm off of center, and you have to expect that when adjusting the position of the track on any binding

Sorry to think it would be about 1-1.5cm depending on the boot. But still if your used to skiing at center and then you buy a bigger boot and your sudenly -1cm it could feel odd. It was for this reason I would recomend a remount. The toe piece is not adjustable length wise so putting a bigger boot in a binding and adjusting the heel will always result in moving the mid sole point back on the ski.
