What binding to mount on my ON3P FR's

They are 181 and I am 5'10 170lbs. Advanced park skier looking for advice on the right binding to get +k for the help thanks

You really cant go wrong with a STH, FKS, FFG series.

I have STH 14s, STH 16s, and Jesters. I like the Jesters to be honest. Nobody on here does, but I think they are light, and they have seemed to hold up well for me. I got them for a great price, so thats why I bought them. I have STH 14s on my pow skis. Great binding! I like them and so does everyone else!

What do you normally set your DIN at? In my experience, the salomon/atomic STH/FFG series bindings are very solid, but only if you make sure to get the driver toepiece. This is the one you'll find on the all 16 DIN models, but only the specified 'driver' versions of the 12 and 14 DIN models. You don't really want to be messing with the z toe or the oversized toe; it has a history of explosion and pre-release. If you want ultimate durability and performance from a salomon binding, go for the STH 16 steel or the old 916, although you probably wont need that on a park ski, and they're pretty heavy. I would pretty much reserve the steel version for big mountain skis. Also, the look/rossignol pivot/FKS series bindings are fantastic, but have kind of an annoying entry and release, and the baseplate is fragile (even though the rest of the binding is bombproof), and they're not the most adjustable binding out there. I've also had good experiences with the tyrolia peak line, I have some peak 18s on my pipe cleaners, and have had no problems so far. Whatever binding you get, try to make your DIN setting towards the middle of the range; that's where the bindings will perform the best/release the most consistantly. I don't have any experience with markers, but I generally prefer a binding with a bit more metal in it's construction, just for the sake of durability, and responsiveness. Hope this helps.-Isak

Get some px series. Great bindings. Im not sure how heavy the fr's are but the pxs are bombproof but weigh a bit more than other bindings.

i am 5'11, 155 pounds.

i bought 181 jeronimos for myself this spring and i recently purchased a pair of griffons to put on them. like said above a lot of people swear against marker but i have had no troubles with their bindings. lightweight and fairly prices.

I'm not going to tell you which to get, cause I don't know what DIN rating you need, however, I will say, you invested a good amount of money on a good pair of skis, don't ruin it by mounting cheap/bad bindings on them. Most likely these skis will last you a while, you'll want to invest on bindings that will last just as long.

Personally, I'll only put FKS 155s, FKS 180s or STH 16s on my ON3Ps...but again, that's me personally. If you feel that those bindings are too much for you (DIN wise), then STH 14 DRIVERS (I emphasis that for a reason) or FKS 140s will be fine. I (again personally) hate the PX series and I hate Markers, they work...but I've had way too many issues with them to trust them again.

5'10" 160lb

put jesters on mine. personally, i love them and haven't had any problems. id take the advice above tho ^ dont ruin your FR's by putting a cheap/shit binding on. if you aren't a fan of marker bindings, maybe look into an fks.

Thanks so much to all the help and I have had look px 12's last year and the base plate snapped late in the season so I'm not taking that route and I also had a pair of griffin shitzos that had a baseplate snap too.. I did purchase some used jesters I plan on putting on my POW skis (kung fugas's) but now im thinking of putting some sth 12s on my POW boards and mounting my ON3P skis with the jesters but I'm rough on baseplates so im banking on putting some fks's on my FR's..... Thoughts? And BTW I set my heel DIN at 8 and toe at 7 for park and go 8 for both in park. + k to all the great advice

FKS 140 (unless you can find some 155s in the Sell/Trade forum...those would be perfect).

^not 15.5, just up to 15. Also, the 140 has the same plastic toe found on the px 12, and the 155 has the same all metal race to as the 180. You can also find the 155 for cheaper because they're usually from around 2006/2007. If you have the choice, definitely get the 155; it's hands down a better binding.
