What are your weird ticks while skiing?

If I'm trying to psych myself up for a jump I like to hop up and down a bit on the run in. Possibly a side effect from mountain biking, where you want to preload your suspension before a jump or drop.

I do a weird drill thing on flats that I learnt in ski school called "dolphins" or something I'd basically an ollie and then in the air you dip your nose so your nose lands before the rest of your ski. It's super easy but fun to do between features.

I used to do this so much, probably because of mountain biking now that I think of it haha, now I just nollie the drop in an maybe hop between carves occasionally.

A guess a weird weird tick I’ve got is clicking my poles together before getting off the lift. It just happens every time even if it’s just the slightest tap.

I remove all my equipment and frantically rub my bare stomach and stare down those around me. With my barefeet shoved in the snow I then scream “I WISH I WAS DOING DOLPHINS, I WISH I WAS A DOLPHIN”, my nose begins to bleed. I clench my teeth and butt cheeks, spraying poop several feet behind me.

Sometimes I loosen my binding just to tighten them.

Sometimes i swim, various strokes to gain momentum in the flats. Breast stroke always does well. Backstroke is mellow. Front crawl for shorter climbs. I think thats more of me having fun or being drunk thana tick though.

If I'm planning on doing any jumps or dropping any cliffs, I'll do a few hops on the way to the trail. Pointless in reality, but makes me feel better and a reminder of being off the ground.

Punch my hands together like I’m bouta fight someone.

When I drop in to a jump I do an ollie and kinda readjust my helmet a bit and carve even if I dont spin, I just cant bomb down in a straight line except if I'm off trail approaching a jump in a tight space (e.x. bc booters' inruns dont usually have much room to carve)

I take a quick pull at my snow pants to check that the bottoms of them aren’t stuck in my bindings. It’s really noticeable in clips when I film, I trim it out haha

boner sliding every rail and box in the park. And when I land I will afterbang enough to where my helmet comes real close to the snow

i have to have poles in the right hands, i've marked my right hand pole with black duct tape. i also always adjust my hands postitions in the straps

Hop a bunch or slap my skis on the snow before dropping in, adjust my goggles/neck warmer, and always tap my poles behind my back if the crews hyping me up.
