What are the most common misconceptions in skiing?

I don't get it, tramp skills don't always translate to ski skills.

And Grizzly Adams DID have a beard.

People who ski and snowboard sucked at one and tried the other to see if they were good at something but they end up sucking at both.

backflips are hard, boxes are easier than rails, you don't need a good technical foundation before going in the park

Being good in the park doesn't necessarily mean you are a good skier.

And inversely, just because you like park doesn't mean you're a shit skier that can't ski everywhere else.

Real talk, skiers don't make that much money and neither do filmers or really any companies based solely around skiing.

haha classic switch over kids. so true. Also second one is so true as well. To many young kids coming up on the park with no foundations of actual skiing. Especially on the east coast.

Skiers can't do the tricks snowboarders can do.

Yes we can.

Plus we have a few tricks borders can't do.

Lincoln loop(probably), cosack, iron cross, plus you can do wizard tricks if your andy parry

Snowboarders can lincoln loop. If you're going by body, and not direction, that's wildcat/tamedog. If you're going by direction of movement, it's frontflip/backflip.

Also, I'm pretty sure snowboarders can't really 2 pretz 2, 2 pretz 4, 4 pretz 2, etc.

so true, I just feel completely out of control on most boxes plus they have so much more potential to be slightly broken or uneven

flat spins can be done on a trampoline/park jump.

Ummm... flats can absolutely be done on a tramp /park jump. Either you misread the thread title or you are horribly misinformed.
