What are the best crash pads?

Hey, I wanna get one of those shorts with all those pads on it so it doesn't hurt to fall on rails as much. But I noticed a bunch of different companies make them. Which are the best ones - as in easy to move in but still with enough protection.

i think mine are pro-tec. i havent had them long but they seem to work well. seems like the soft pads would be a lot more comfortable than hard plastic ones.

also most are probably more for snowboarders so make sure they have pads in the hips.

to everyone who says they dont get why you would buy pads, last season i got this bruise on my hip from falling on it over and over. This thing eventually swelled out like 2 inches and made a black circle with a foot diameter on my hip. i could barely walk for a week and i couldnt ski for 2 weeks, and couldnt ski hard for the rest of the season. there was never a particular fall that was terrible, just alot that hit in the same place. i feel like if i had had pads that whole time it would have never really been a problem. i also want to get some for this season, but am nervous that they will be too bulky or something shitty

the same thing happened to me i think ima get some before i hurt it again, i already fell on it once or twice and it kinda hurts even now

try and find softshell ones if you can. I don't kow here you can find softshells, but I know both scott, dainese, and 661 make quality protection. I would look at 661 first, cause i know their biking stuff is comfy, durable and has great value.

just get a suit like this

its fine as long as u dont get a spine protector too, then ur gay.

i just got pro-tec ones for the season and i like the way they feel, but 661 also makes some super quality shit.

I sue all softshell pads for biking, and i know for riding park/dirt jumps most of teh time and a bit of freeride they work really good. I think the kind of impacts you would have would be similar between the two sports.

I use the soft protec hip pads. The pads don't get in your way. You feel a little bulkier in them but its worth it for how much pain they save you. No one will ever notice you are wearing them if your pants are even moderately baggy.

I wouldn't buy RED simply because they recently dropped their whole ski team, but they do make some very good products, and are usu' affordable.

i have the red impact shorts and they work nice. and they arent tight fitting either theyre nice and loose
