What are some things you do to entertain yourself?

what are some things you do in everyday life just to get a laugh. For me I usually try and make awkward eye contact with people and see how they react

go!

Just got back from a dunkin doughnuts run. hit up the drive through and after getting my meal I asked the lady for directions to a school nearby (i knew where it was), right when she started to tell me I just slowly drove away while maintaining eye contact . her reaction was actually really funny and kept me laughing the whole ride home

I mess with people as much as i can while driving, basically when people pull out in front of me i just get as close to them as i can without hitting them or things like that. Start random conversations with people, or people watch in general. I get the most laughs out of just watching be complete idiots on their own.

If you did this to me I would SLAM on my brakes. Rear-ending a car is 100% the fault of the person behind, no ifs ands or buts. Open and shut case. I get my car repaired for free (there was a small scratch on my bumper anyway), you probably total your car, your insurance skyrockets, your parents take away your car...was it really worth it? You are the reason insurance is so expensive for young males.

when im alone and there's absolutely nothing to do, im in an empty house, and it's really just me in my own little world, i'll play guitar, piano, cook some awesome freaking meal, watch old tv episodes of whatever show comes to mind, random flash games on the computer, fap, work out, or do physics problems. yes, that's right, sometimes i have fun going on the internet looking up an old problem and solving it just for kicks. i get into genius mode and start writing down numbers and diagrams on dozens of sheets of paper and trying to figure shit out, essentially doing proofs for equations i can't remember and re-learning them. it feels pretty damn satisfying to geek out and solve something from scratch when you can't even remember formulas all that well.

oh i'll also clean shit. every once in a while when you just aren't stoked on the mess in your closet, i'll just take an hour to reorganize things so errything looks all beautiful n shit. i take pride in that. i'm a pretty clean individual. i iron my shirts, nothing's on the floor, etc.

i highly doubt i'm the only NSer with a summer house...

i made a separate section for my summer house because there are many more things to do there, as is normal with most summer houses.

and no, I do all of my own laundry, i'm not rich i'm only 17, and i work over the summer to pay for every piece of ski equipment that i own.

People on NS complaining about others being rich is pretty stupid. This site is based around a sport that costs shit tons of money. (Please don't argue that it doesn't cost that much compared to other sports when a soccer ball costs less than boot insoles)

not necessarily. yes, brand new gear is super expensive but bargain hunting goes a long way in our sport. for example, my skis were 200 bucks with bindings, poles for 20, helmet for 30, gogs for 20, beanie/yowie for 10, pants for 50. with the exception of my new saga jacket, my set up is pretty damn cheap haha.

even considering you get your entire setup for 400 dollars, then 300-400 dollar student rate season passes... that's a hell of a lot more than a basketball or a soccer ball costs... and the costs for that could be split between multiple people who could use the gear simultaneously

aight, while I do agree that skiing is expensive let me just elaborate on my point haha

my hockey skates alone, cost as much as my ski setup. a cheap hockey stick is 50 bucks (that's super fucking cheap), and you would preferrably have two, one as a backup. then there is all the other equipment that can amount to hundreds. I have sub-par gear with the exception of my skates and sticks, and all of it together cost around 1500 bucks. call me a spoiled bitch but thats about the average total cost of a hockey set up.

lacrosse, a high end stick costs about 200 not counting a string job. helmets go up to 150, cleats up to 140.

high end soccer cleats are 250 bucks.

I've played many different sports, and honestly you can find the best deals on ski stuff than on any other sports equipment.

of course if you went all out and bought top of the line ski stuff brand new from your nearest ski store, the prices would be through the roof over probably any other sport, but then again, why do that when you can save?

how is he being robbed? most top level cleats are $200-220, but some are $350-400. I'd say 250 is a pretty good average.

skiing is quite entertaining.

video games, board games, work, reading, watching tv and movies, drink, hang out and have conversation, road trippin', cliff jumping, hiking.... all good things.

road hockey and basketball too.
