^those are dope. pretty cheap to, found em for 50.

any other suggestions. is it worth it to go for bose, is it that noticeable...

save up some more and get an old reciever with an aux input and some jbl's, if you lived in spokane i could get you a 30 watt sansui and some jbl bookshelf speakers for under $150

yo nig, i'm in the group of people thats about plug in and play. bookshelf, waht the fuck. haha, i bet whatever you got bumps like a mafucka. i'm thinking more desktop though.

no, bookshelf is small, like fitting on bookshelfs, not bookshelf sized haha, but what i use myself bumps like a bitch man, its loud, what i have totally is, 260 watts going into 2x12" 2x16" and 8 tweeters, its a beast.

but smallosh jbl;s and a little reciever would be perfect.

definitely look into Altec Lansing stuff....i have an older version of the system in the pic at the top of the thread and its REALLY good...and it bumps so hard that my whole house shakes

this doesnt quite answer the question but check out www.tigerdirect.com for cheap prices on speakers/ anything electronic, i use them when i build computers because theyve always had the best prices for components that i could find, so id assume speakers would be the same way

Well i'd rather have a 200 watt 2.1 system than a 76 watt 5.1

And take a seat? Since when was this a competition? I just stated not everyone wants what you think they want. Maybe he wants more watts, maybe he doesn't wanna have to deal with 5 separate speakers AND a sub.

I am a big fan of the JBL creatures II. They're pretty nifty, sound cool, look cool, loud and they're compact.
