What are Oakley mirrored lenses called?

i think any with "iridium" are mirrored. black iridium is the standard silver mirror, then theres fire, gold, pink, blue, and so on and so forth

i dont think pink iridium is very mirrored. I think gold iridium is mirrored but i dont know if they still make that. and fire iridium is the most mirrored

A lot of lenses which look mirrored most of the time don't look mirrored in a camera for some reason.

most companies have like a standard mirrored lense, but oakley doesnt really ahve one. they have what i think is the vr28 which is slightly mirrored, and then the iridiums are mirrored, but in colors.

either they have a new lense for next year or it is the vr28 or something like that cause none of the iridiums are silver

k im gonna go with black iridium...ive looked atr pictures and its pretty chrome in the sun while vr28 is more dark and black. i think theres vr28 black iridium mixed with is really dark and just plain black is chromy

i have the pink iridium and in the sun it's as mirrore as the fire iridium but much more clear in term of the darkness of the lense really good lense

I think the most mirrored looking would be Gold Iridium, but obviously a gold mirror, none the less very mirrored, at least the A Frames one.

I don't think its the VR28, someone recently (bryce) posted a thread with his Denims and a vr28. Although VR28 does look like it would be silver as you said I'm not really sure on that one, hopefully someone who owns it can give us a home picture since lenses look so different at home than on the online pictures.

Here's a black iridum, I think.

It's usually because a lot of the lenses, including the fire are see-thru if you just look at them, they really need to be in a goggle, and up against the face. If not that then at least closely in front of a solid object with no light coming from the other side. Once they're on your face there's only light coming from the outside which makes them more mirror'ie.

I know its not the vr28. I was wondering if its the vr28 black, they are two different lenses. The vr28 is just a normal permisson looking lens.

Those black iridiums look legit though, I think Im going to go with that.

Thanks bud!

I'm almost positive your looking for Gold Iridium. They easily look SILVER mirror more than gold as they're listed.

Here's some in my AFrames:

hmmmm...my lens on my goggles in my thread is a vr28 black im pretty sure...not shiny just very dark and can hardly see thru and then black is silver im pretty sure and gold is sort of dark gold color

so gold iridium is more mirrored than black iridium? On the tramdock site the gold iridiums hardly look mirrored at all...

A lot of the lenses look completely different on the stock images. Just try to google around to find some actual photos. Gold iridum IMO is just as mirrored as a Fire lens, but obviously a different color tone. As far as black iridium I'm not too sure how mirrored it is, but I don't think it reflects quite as much as a gold iridum does.

Gold Iridium is best described as a Fire lens reflecting without the fire colors, definitely the most "regular" looking mirror from oakley.

Gold really doesn't dim that much. Go to Oakley, crowbars, lens tint. Do the Gold Iridium one, I'd say that's pretty a exact dim, but even with a less 'blue bird' day than the one Oakley shows, the light transmitted from the inside would be about the same. Think persimmon but a bit darker.

ya ive tried them a bit...theyre good...its the same with my vr28...youd think they would make everything a shitload darker and almost to dark but it doesnt really.

vr28 black does look silver. black iridium looks all different colors depending on the light. oakley did make a silver back in the day, but not anymore.

fuck dude...those look semi-transparent.

I got the black iridiums because I didnt want to have a gold tint to the reflection. The tramdock livechat dude told me the golds were really gold looking, so I got the black iridiums.

You guys cant be serious. Its a VR28 Black Iridium. Tanner, Sammy, all those guys use the lens, it has the versatility of the VR28 with the mirror to block out the sun. It is a silver mirror in the sun, too.

black iriduim is really sick in the sun on my A frames. but doesnt look that mirrored in my opinion when it is low light out.

yeah but I dont want something versitle. I want 100% bluebird lenses, Im returning them as soon as I get them.

Black Iridium is pretty mirrored on blue bird, just not at other times. Did you mean your going to go with the VR28 Black, because that'd pretty much be the more mirrored/more bluebird of the black iridium

Hey honestly I have no idea I'm just kinda wondering about the same thing I'm thinking about snagging a set also. I'm just going by what people said in the thread.

The BC people told me to go with a M oakley when I was asking between L and XL for baggy. I got XL and it's like fine around the waist, they're pretty good for some things others they don't really know. They just referred me to the sizing chart as if I didn't get that yet.

The Black Iridium they make now is a little different than the ones they made in the past. It used to be silver. Really silver. Now it only has a slight mirror on it and usually looks shiny black. The lense is apparently the same while looking through it, they just changed the coating. If you want a straight up bluebird lense get the fire iridium.
