i think imma buy the new armada ar6.. but what size

about 6 foot 1 inch and 170lbs??

181 or 176

i rode 177 stl last season and they did fine but i hear center mount skis shorter and it seems like alotta pros use skis taller the forehead level like they say in the shop

what should i go with??

i'm about your height, ski on AR5's 176. love em still after 4 seasons. 181's would be a little better for stomping big jumps and switch landings. If I was getting the AR6 i'd go 181 for that reason, but after being on the 176 for 4 years I don't think I'd notice a difference overall.

from my experience, yes they are very durable. I've got the 2nd gen AR5 and I do my fair share of rails during the season, no real edge problems. Bases are in grrrreat shape.

well i was still contemplating on what brand to go with.. looks like armada will be the bread winner

still any more size sugestions

176cm for a 170lbs should be good unless u r stronger, or aggressive or doing comps/air this is a wood core ski....do u plan to grow? molson muscle by next year ? 181 is only 5cm... turn radius of 181cm is about 22meters can u push it?

i could def push the turn i got a jacked lower body from soccer lol and im all about airs in the pipe... i just wasnt sure if 181 would be to stiff for me to butter cuz i absolutly loves butter fives and sevens in the mini parks haha

the new ar6 only comes up to 176 i think. so you probably have to get the 07/08 model if you want the 181.

181 all the way!!!!! Last year I got the t-hall 176 and I was 5'10 and found them short because they are center mounted, if I would get an onther pair I would get them in 181. I think you will be able to butter them cause the ar6 aren't stiff.

yeah armadas are fucking beasts. the graphics chip like crazy but within a week youll get over it.

well a rode 4frnt so im used to chippin edges, whenever that hapened i just put some quick set epoxy over the chip to keep it from spreading
are the ar6s soft or stif

If you want a softer armada ski look into the thall. It supposedly softer in the tip and tail and pretty stiff underfoot if i remember what the email from armada said.

thanks but those are outa $ rangei dont want a soft ski i just dont want a concrete slab
anyone know the flex on the ar6

if you don't want a really soft ski but also not a 2x4 the ar6 is perfect for you. I rode my friends last season, it didn't butter like my invaders it took some effort but it didn't wobble out on are one and only 50 footer either. sounds perfect for you.
