What about Skyrim?!?!?

haha yeah that's pretty difficult. my bow now has a damage so high its into negative numbers though so anything's fair game

Ha! That might mean you're damage is so high that its producing an integer overflow. Which is possible considering Skyrim is a 32 bit game

yeah thats exactly it haha. fun times are ahead. i've exhausted pretty much everything there is to do so my only goal now is to get to max level.

anyone have tips on levelling destruction spells? seems to take forever

god damn, havent plated this in ages. might spin it up again for something to do when im not skiing over break. i was a an imperialist race but didn't really abide bu the imperial legions rules, i just did my own thang and fucked up anyone in my way. great sword or bust, chopped too many dudes heads off.

PS stormcloaks are racist ass bitches, fuck them

Started playing again. Rediscovered modding. The game is way more fresh with Master Chief as a follower, Macho Man Randy Savage as all the dragons, and upwards of a dozen new well-made towns and cities placed across the map.

Just made a new dark elf character a few weeks ago. Already level 62 and it's going well. My armor perks make it so that master level spells don't cost any mana.

hearing "ART THOU BORED?" off in the distance would be terrifying.

After my PS3 disk broke I finally succumbed to the pressure and got skyrim cheap in the steam sale. A few graphics mods later, and holy fucking beautiful.

Almost all the times I've played any ES game I've gone for a stealth character, a thief or an assassin. This time I mixed it up, gone with an orc who lives for heavy armour and two handed weapons. It's a lot of fun, smashing undead heads in with a silver longsword.

Joined the companions, gonna become a werewolf then get on with the main quests so I can have shouts, then go live in one of the Orcish strongholds in the west to work on smithing etc.

This game is too much fun.

haha i got it too. runs perfectly on my laptop which is awesome considering its not even built for gaming. as i've already clocked a sickening amount of time on my xbox version i'm just modding this and seeing what fun shit i can do

console commands are awesome too, only level 5 and already got full daedric armour and dragonbone weapons, and a fuuuuuckload of gold.

Console commands are a slippery slope, one minute I'm fast-travelling to the quest target because I took a wrong turn somewhere (this happened a lot until I found a decent map mod) and the next I'm giving myself 10000000 septims and level 100 alchemy, just because I found a cool looking mushroom.

yeah haha its silly what you can do. the way i see it though is i have a level 60 something on xbox with pretty much everything done the hard way, so it's not much of a spoiler if i give my new one cool shit and level up quickly to where i was with my last one so i can get the most out of all the crazy mods

I really hope the next Elder Scrolls game is in the works. I would definitely buy a next-gen console just to play it.

kind of bummed out with Bethesda right now and Fallout 4 (even though this is a skyrim thread). all the Lore and cool intricate details/backstories/questlines, etc. in skyrim and previous games like Oblivion were just fucking awesome, like I would totally get lost into the whole ES universe with that game. I love Bethesda RPGs for all the backstories and in-game history stuff but it seems like they gave up on FO4, I fucking loved new vegas.

Yeah I kinda feel the same. There is a bit of it in FO4....but not as much as previous. Also screw no wild wasteland perk lol

Can't get into skyrim for some reason. It just feels slow, but I've only played like 60 hrs in it

60hrs seems like a lot but that's barely scratching the surface of the game, keep at it and you'll enjoy it more. I seem to remember it took me like 100hrs before i really started to get into it

On PC I reached around 300hrs. With dlc. And there are still missions left

yeah i got over that on xbox before i'd done most things.

got about another 100 on PC but not that far into it. my thieves guild quest seems to have glitched and so i can't progress, which is a pain in the ass. might try console commands to skip the bit i'm on

and there is much more game play in down loadable content and mods for the pc. i defiantly recommend some of the added story mods and fun mods for the pc

what mods are you running? ive actually just started looking into quest mods to spice things up

Well if you are looking for mods there are loads of new mobs, houses and miniquests.

But theres this one questline (takes 25h about) called Falskaar. A 19y/o guy created it by himself. I font know if its on the steamworkshop but I would recommend you to use nexus mod manager anyways.

If you are looking for a graphical touch you should install an ENB. Hard to explain look it up. It pretty much spices up the look of everything.

Falskaar:http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37994/?&

Good luck on your adventures ;)

This, i just saw a post on reddit from a dude with nearly 350 in-game days logged and is still finding cool little interactions. Its a cool game, wish fallout 4 was as killer.

I fought it for ages but I finally had to admit I was a little disappointed by Fallout 4. The combat and the weapon/ armour customisation is so much better, along with the graphics and some other thing, but overall I felt like they neglected some pretty important factors.

The whole faction thing and building settlements is pretty lame. Like I don't care about any of the factions, they're all a bunch of dickbags, I just want to be a lone wanderer. As for building settlements, the idea is kinda cool but they put way too much into it, I don't want an immersive home-building Sims-like experience, I want to shoot Deathclaws into little pieces.

The only reason I'm currently siding with the Brotherhood is because I have hundreds of pieces of scrap for weapon mods stored on the Prydwen which will be an absolute bitch to try and relocate haha

im familiar with falskar, never installed though

my poor laptop cant handle most enbs unfortunately

There are options on most ENBs so there might be a way you could get it to work.

But hey, graphics always come 2cnd. ;)

I agree with ya here, weapon types were far to limited, granted you could mod the weapons to your liking but the base variety was just soooo lacking.

I kinda enjoyed the settlement building, it wasnt optimized well but it was alright. However if that makes it into Elder Scrolls 6 I will fucking riot.

it mainly pissed me off due to the amount of junk you need for it, which i like to hoard for weapons, and it takes far too long just to build some basic stuff. i would have been down for it if it was more similar to the Hearthfire house building in Skyrim, which was pretty in depth but not too much.

i think with some good in depth DLC similar to the ones on Fallout 3 (the one with the creepy island was really cool) it could be saved but i got bored with it all much quicker than i wanted to

The Far Harbour Dlc is supposed to be pretty good I hear. I think the land area is the size of fallout 3?

hmm i'll check it out. the only DLC i'd come across so far was one for homesteads and the robot one which sounded awful cos i fkn hate fighting robots haha

Wow that bethesda E3 presentation was a bit of a letdown. Only 2 workshop DLCs and a storyline one (NukaWorld) and a Skyrim remaster. Kinda pissed Nukaworlds the last DLC, they are really priding themselves on this bullshit settlement feature.

^ so was yesterday's conference part of e3? and there's no more Bethesda reveals? I thought e3 started tomorrow..

I think it was, my cousin was keeping me updated while i was studying. Quake looks tight, though. Same with Prey, but everything else was meh.

Skyrim remaster is gonna be tittle tho. Next Gen skyrim

as long as i can still build comfy-ass cabin manors in the woods and tend to my crops/livestock after long periods of dungeon clearing, I will be satisfied. Skyrim Remaster does have me somewhat happy so its not all bad.

with skyrim remaster this year i feel it increases the chances of elder scrolls 6 news by next e3. It would make sense, giving us some ES to tide us over, and to drum a little interest into Elder scrolls in general

Hopefully they don't fuck about with it too much and it's just mainly graphics/ textures getting upgraded. Would be cool to be able to transfer previous saves over too, though I doubt that'll happen.

It would be a shame if you needed to play the entire game again... ;)

I just sent the trailer to my friend and said the exact same thing haha

Seems like it's just graphics/ textures updated, plus you'll be able to use mods on consoles now

So hope console mods are done better than they were for FO4, where all the modding forums got overtaken by 12 year olds screaming 'i payed for the game i have right to use mod' and shit like that, it really put off a lot of modders. But that would require Bethesda learning something, and history tends to repeat so that's unlikely.

Good news is PC gets the update for free, although most of the 'updates' were already done by mods. They should be better optimized though, but again, Bethesda and effort.

Yeah I doubt that will happen. It is essentially a graphical overhaul, I wouldn't be surprised if there was 0 new content other than Mod support but even then it's just player created content. Ya'll shoould be stoked on mod support for consoles though it's going to add a whole new level of gameplay that PC has had since release,

pc will probably still have mods downloadable off the internet that the consoles won't have. I assume they will implement a sort or steam workshop feature. But workshop is just the tip of the iceberg for skyrim mods.

I'm currently downloading it. Looks mega fun, it's a whole new game, like professionally voice acted and everything.
