What about Skyrim?!?!?

Anyone have any tips on making money? So far ive been around 1000 gold. I wanna save up to get my first house (5000 gold) but it seems like too much of a grind. I should probably just play the main quest, but theres just SO MUCH I WANNA DO!

 
Turned autosave and all that off incase I do something I'll regret, 3 hours of playing, killed by a fuckin giant and flew 100km in the air.
 
Is there any chance in hell this will run on my 1.8Ghz i7 macbook air. Its got 4GB of ram but an integrated video card :( ???
 
I rented this and it looks like I might need to buy it. So far I'm a level 7 wood elf. I found the dragon words for the "become ethereal" shout and I killed two dragons after that but it still isn't letting me use it since it says, "dragon souls are required to unlock shouts," any ideas?
 
It had some problems but overall was a great game, very engrossing, and you never ran out of things to find or quests to do.

and also, question: should i buy oblivion and buy oblivion and get skyrim for christmas? i've never played before, the other option is me just buying skyrim right away
 
Follow the main quest and kill the Dragon dude. I'm only a level 3 argonian, however I've unlocked the shout it's dope. Take the Dragon Stone back to the King dude whatever his name is, then follow the woman elf to some place where a dragon appears, and you just fuck it up (pretty easy too I shot it with like 25 arrows).
 
Sorry take it the the Mage guy rather, in Whiterun (same place as the king). No way in hell I'm remembering any of these guys names sorry.
 
oblivion first imo. not essential, but totally worth it. be prepared to not play skyrim for a while though, these games are massive. oblivion will take you waaay past christmas.
 
So far the only thing I really don't like is how I have NO clue what is the main quest. I get rescued and then suddenly am told to go join the legion as well as like 12 other things.
 
fuck I love this game, been playing since I got it at midnight

first off, dragon battles as a dark elf fucking rule, half fire damage kicks ass

second, the landscape is awesome, just as beautiful as cyrodil

third, combat is noticeably better, sword in 1 hand spell in another is my go to combo
 
why you so mad? and its so amazing, got it today and played 5 hrs straight. i kept fucking around in the dungeon on the way to the dragon stone. first, i forgot to search azrels body for the claw, then i completely missed the word wall, went too far and had to start from an earlier save and go back and get the stupid claw again. it made me clausty, god i hate dungeons. but the game is so fun. i had no idea what race to pick so i just went with nord. i'm normally not much of a gamer, but i can see myself getting sucked into this.
 
Let me just pull snow out of my ass and throw it on the mountains. Little hypocritical to say, while you sit on NS for hours on end refreshing NSG.
 
dam son ive got about 4 hours in so far and im sooo stoked.

Everything is so great Its just keeps me hooked. Will be putting in about 10 hours of game time tomorrow as well as like 12 on sunday, while skiing both days. Multitask master?
 
Why are people stupid enough to post shit like this and not expect to be banned? I mean how hard is this to figure out? Christ.
 
Fucking love this game. My only question is how to start the Dark Brotherhood...it's not like Oblivion where you just kill randys. You have talk to some kid and kill a bitch and then nothing has happened and I have waited for like 4 days.

Ok I stole from some guy and every time I kill him he comes back to life 10 seconds later. I've tried running away. This has been going on for like an hour.

go to riverwood, talk to the inn keeper or the general trader (forget which) about a kid trying to call upon their services. That starts a quest chain that gets you in the DB

theives guild you have to go to riften and do a pickpocket quest in the main market area
 
Bought battle field a week or two ago. Having a lot of fun with that but Skyrim has peaked my interests.

Overall is it worth dropping 60? I played a bit of oblivion but not much.
 
I've never really been into this kind of game, but all my friends are raving about it, so I might check it out. If I never played any of the other Elder Scrolls game would I be completely lost? Also, can you actually run around and fight people, or is it like Final Fantasy where you have to choose an attack and then watch it play out.
 
you are very much missing out. It's nothing like the final fantasy game play, you can literally run around killing whomever you choose. As for story i doubt you'd be lost. I don't think the other Elder Scrolls games have a very strong running story linking them together.
 
well actually there is a lot of references to the events of Oblivion and Morrowind that i have come across, but nothing that you would feel left out from really
 
God dammit this thread makes me want to play it so badly...I picked it up yesterday but I have tests till Tuesday and dont want to start playing till tues night . I know that if I get on now I wont be able to stop
 
Havent played much yet, but i've only played when i was ridiculously ripped and it was fucking epic, about to go do the same right now. Its more fun than oblivion and just has cooler shit in it
