With all the recent talk of video games on NSG there has been one big one left out. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This game is looks wayyyy to fun. Really looking forward to slayin' some dragons!

... not to mention the ultimate hyphy game!

Honestly, I would much rather bethesda put their time in to making a fallout four than elder scrolls. Also, stoked on for halo 4

 
I'm bros with some guys how work at a local game store and they said they could get it to me on the 8th :D
 
This will not only ruin my schooling, but did it have to come out right as ski season starts...I'm going to have to beat it in the 2 weeks before my hill opens
 
is your computer strong enough to play it at high settings? do you prefer a mouse and keyboard over a controller? Ten PC

not gonna lie... dragons and mythical lands and magic and swords etc etc dont do anythign for me.

people rave about the games, and skyrim does look great, i just cant seem to get into fantasy.

ill take an uncharted, metal gear type game any day of the week.

I have Uncharted 3 MP to power through, now Modern Warfare 3 MP to power through, Skyrim single player on Friday, SR3 next week.... AND Assassins Creed.... FFFFFUUUUUU
 
It better be. So help me God if MW3 or BF3 wins I will take a shit in the disc drive of my xbox.
 
Am I the only one who thinks skyrim is super nerdy? just seems way to WoWish for me. I dont doubt the game has amazing game play, graphics and story but it seems to be way to mystical forest for me.

Well i was trying to discuss the game, not insult, i watched a couple videos and it seems like its WoW but put into a first person view. People are so fucking stoked on this, especially a few people on here, so im really just looking for an explanation why its the cats pajamas.
 
It looks sick as fuck, but very WoW like so idk if i will get it. I feel like the story line is the tits but my brother just got cod and i have no money so fuck, i'm so undecided
 
The Elder Scrolls games I feel play completely different than WOW. It's like comparing Saint's Row to GTA or Battlefield to Call of Duty. Yeah both WoW and Skyrim have swords, magic, and other such things but really the similarities end just past that with the RPG elements. THe games are basically completely different.
 
What a cop out to make dragons a central part of the game. That's really lame considering what they did with Daggerfall. Bethsoft left clues throughout the game as to where dragons might be and then had no dragons in the game, essentially creating in-game mythology that caught the player, totally meta.

Basically by doing this they're gutting a classic staple of the series and making me shed a tear for back when I actually played video games... it's just capitulating to the ADD gaming generation like everyone else at this point. It looks damned pretty, though.
 
Im not sure if im going to buy this. Im just kind of sick of walking around everywhere. Its probably going to be between this bf3 or mw3 though.
 
shrug.. wow is popular as fuck. i dont have anything nearing the amount of patience to play this kind of game, but nerdy shit can be mad fun. having tons of posts on a skiing website, playing first person shooters like it's a sport.. shit, i still have a gameboy with tetris in my car for whoever's not driving. nerdy shit's super entertaining sometimes
