So I fucked up. Didn't scope the park before I hit it on Tuesday, and I paid big time. Fuck big mtns park. They need to get their shit together. I'm out for the season. I was having a killer first run through the park, going all out. It was sunny, I felt good, so I was killin it. Huge shifty 7 on the middle jump, to a cork 9 mute (which I got dialed the weekend before) to the first rail, unnatty to blindside 270. Super sick run. then this happened: I was hitting this up-gap-down box, and came over the gap, and saw that our park crew is officially the gayest bunch of motherfucks I know. The snow of the landing was higher than the end of the box, and I had nowhere to bail to. I'm going pretty fast, and land on the down box, and just close my eyes. As I expected, my feet are knocked out from under me, and I flyswat. Hard. Total damage: Separated shoulder/collarbone, 3 broken rips, separation in the cartilage of the ribs, and a ruptured spleen. I just got out of the hospital about two hours ago and now get to sit at home doing nothing. It looks like my trip to aerosmith and to see my gf for valentines day might be off, and yeah. I'm officially the most bummed ever. Fuck.

 
yeah, i feel bad for you but hopefully you'll learn to scope everthing next time. i dont trust anything on the hill until i see it for myself. well, hope you recover soon. Later
 
Haha...learn to scope...hahaha. I did scope it. I did a run before that and was fine. It was just one part of it that I clipped. Freak accident. Don't talk to me about scoping shit, I ski the park everyday. Half of the features are built the way they are because of my input. The last jump, besides the fact that the deck is too short was my idea. Having a landing after the first rail was me. Moving the jump back and putting more lip on the middle one was me too. I suggested all of that. Although, they didn't build it exactly as I asked them, they got the gist of it.

haha don't worry about it. yeah i ski in bozeman but i've never been up to big mtn i just stick around here. anyway, feel better dude. later
