As many of you know, I have worked at Whaleback for a few years and will be working there again this summer. There are a few different threads in this forum with information about Whaleback summer camps, competitions and jib sessions. Lets use this thread to post all information about Whaleback this summer so it can stay out of other threads about other mountains. If you have any questions about camps or events feel free to ask me! We are working hard on a new setup and when we have pictures of it, I will post them in here. The first event of the summer is June 2. It's a free rail jam on the new setup. Hope to see everyone from New England come out and support Whaleback this summer!
 
yo kev! signed up for session 1 last night im stoked out of my mind! last year was the best and the new setup is gonna be sickkk! just a suggestion, but you guys should set up the tramp and foam pit next to eachother, so you could hit the foam from the tramp or the ramps. cant wait till july 30th!
 
hey david! stoked to have you back this summer, it will definitely be better than last year! The new setup is a large hill that is being constructed out of dirt. that hill be one natural down slope that will be covered with wood then turf and snowflex. the hill will have rails on it. you will not longer be climbing up ladders and going down skateboard style drop ins. once the hill is complete i will post pictures!
 
Sorry for the quad post! Well anyway that is the start of the slope that will be used for the jib setup this summer. Just imagine that slope covered with turf, snowflex and rails. It is going to be dope!
 
I'm going to as many of the jams as I can. The new setup looks so awesome, will it be ready by the first session?
 
it will definitely be done by the first jam even if i have to work 70 hour weeks, we will finally have a dope new setup at Whaleback. see you this summer!
 
right now we are looking at 2-3 for the first jam and then hopefully we will be adding features during the summer!
 
unfortunately due to rain, the dirt pile is kind of like a mud pile and dylan cant drive the dozer on it right now. it should dry out starting tomorrow and dylan will get back to work. i should have more pictures early next week!
 
we got about half the wood down today, hopefully we can finish that and start to re turf everything tomorrow or saturday! i will put up new pictures soon! everyone better show up on june 2nd cause the new setup is going to be awesome!
 
picture update: the wood is all in place and attached, tomorrow the turf and powerpak carpet go on followed by jumps and features, i will post more pictures and an edit when we get it done! see you all next saturday!

I can't wait! Will you have more than 3 features? If so maybe make a FDF or something. Or maybe flat box
 
right now because we are pressed for time we will probably only have like 3 features but as the summer goes on we will be working on new rails and changing things up!
 
^its 3/4 inch pressure treated that will be covered by the turf, the wood in there to provide a level surface under the carpet and give us something to screw the rails and turf into!
 
12-4 and can some one post pics b/c I may not want to drive up 2-3 hrs this saturday. I would like to see the features please.
 
just a reminder the jam is tomorrow! we have a down snow making tube and a down box, its free so come out and ski!
 
Won't be making it due to the rain. No sun = no fun in my house! Chores up the wazzoo :(((
