Rules
• You must either be a brand new webisode series, or an existing one without a major or title sponsor that financially supports your series.
• Only one entry per webisode series.
• Entries can be no longer than 10 minutes.
• Anyone found to be giving blatantly high ratings to one entry and blatantly low ratings to others will have their votes automatically removed by our contest system.
There are no definite rules that say "You have to have these things to win" it's up to the judges to decide what they like.
Forster I'd love to agree with you on this one and I do, Westward shouldn't have won the contest. But that doesn't mean you need to get all offended. People lose contests all the time and it's not always fair but coming on here and insulting the people and OWNER of the website that you were trying to gain the support of, is not the right way to do it. I'd say stop and try to pick up the pieces. People like the Hood Crew's shit and there is no doubt in my mind that the Hood Crew is going to blow up but doing stuff like this is just giving Hood Crew a bad name. The Hood Crew is sick as fuck but you don't want to become the new FD and generally disliked by the majority of NS for petty disagreements and bad PR.

THC should have won.
I'm from Ontario, and I still think westward is boring as fuck. I'm always stoked to see edits from people coming out of the same region/hills, but that shit just follows the same lame formula that everyone is copying now a days. It's just weak and uninteresting...
Also, those Hood Crew guys look like they could use the money!!! Seriously, I'm pretty sure most of the westward guys go to college or university, and have parents that finance pretty much everything/anything they want to do. I get the vibe that this whole "westward" thing is just a side project while they are in school, a little phase of their life that will be crumpled and forgotten in a year or two... Just from watching THC's edits, you know they all live to ski, you can see that they've got something westward doesn't. It's just a better vibe. (also the skiing is better, and the filming IMO). Especially that guy forster meeks, his style is really stand-out and fresh, It's got soul, and I could watch it for days. I get the impression that every hood crew rider lives to ski, and I think they could go a lot farther with the money.
The advantages of picking westward would be that there work is more polished and professional looking. It's appealing to a wider audience, and is more approachable. Both traits are very important to media corporations like the one NS is owned by, it makes them more comfortable when they are shelling out $1800. It's a safe and stable business move. That's all it is. What other reasons could their be? It's not like westward has better skiing, they don't have better filming...
I'm not sure how much of a say bishop had is this decision, but I think you need to get a fucking grip.
It's pretty disappointing. It sucks that THC members are responding with such hostility, but I'm not mad considering the fact that I stopped giving a shit about skiing a long while ago.
I think that 1800 dollars and promotional kit is more valuable to the hood crew, and I'm ashamed to see it go to waste. If "the newschoolers community chose the video" than fuck you newschoolers community. Fuck. You.
