yo guys.
i so i toured Western State and Sierra Nevada, and i have no idea which one to go too. both sick colleges with skiing and such, but what do you guys think?
you guys have any opinions on the schools or useful information about the schools?

I dont know anything about the schools them selfs but i was just out by the sierra nevada college on my high school spring break. its really close to Squaw and Northstar or alpine meadows and not that far from mt rose. its in a really good spot too really close to Lake Tahoe. the season pass to squaw for a college student is like 370 i think and alpine meadows just lowered their prices too. just make sure you have 4 wheel drive and snow tires or chains.

western states real sick my bro goes there and the people are sick, but he said the only downside is theres like no chicks. Skiings great though ha

haha im not too worried about chicks. i got a girl back home. its a tough decision. my cousin and friend both go western state and they both said it was sick. but i heard so many sweet things about sierra nevada.

your girl being home is gonna get real old real quick.
sierra nevada had some skier chicks, they also got some swedish chicks too

western state is in the middle of no where and has only crested butte...Sierra nevada is in a pretty good location and has 3 of the best resorts around it..plus it is a more laid back college with a more personal feel..def sierra nevada

SNC is unreal. I have friends from all over (Burlington, Cranmore, Albany, Buffalo, Okemo, CVA, Gould) that go there, and most never move back East. Squaw Valley: 20 minutes, Northstar: 15 minutes, Alpine: 20 minutes, Diamond Peak: less than a mile from the school, the beach: 2 minutes, Reno: 40 minutes, San Fran: 3.5 hours. You won't be disappointed. Western is a good school, but in the middle of nowhere.

I don't know really anything about Sierra Nevada, but like someone said earlier, Gunnison is preeetty far from the rest of the world.
Crusted Butt and Monarch are really close by though and Monarch is pretty fun for a small mountain, esp. if you're willing to do some hiking.
If you're into backcountry, Western def has some great touring spots nearby and a lot of AT bums to get out with. Good luck!
