Who here skis Western New York. Specifically Kissing Brdige, Holiday Valley, and Peek'n'Peak.

Just curious to see who all there is on NS that rides locally.

I personally usually am at Kissing Bridge. Live 10 minutes from the parking lot. Close and cheap is the key.
 
I usually go up to HV once a year in like the beginning of December. But I ski at Bristol 99.9% of the time.
 
Ill be at HV and KB this year. Never been to either though, so if theres a cult for them id take an invite.
 
I'll try to hook you up to both cults.

HV has better all-around skiing, KB generally speaking has a better park.
 
i ski at holiday valley and kissing bride sometimes when im not too busy makin bitties pop lock and drop it.
 
What skis did you have last season man? I don't remember seeing anyone with Invaders lkast season at KB other than me and Moses.
 
um...haha first i had volkl expressions....then elan mo2s, but for the most of the year i was on 06 invaders with he pink and black checkered bases.....were you the one with 07 invaders doing lincoln loops off the kickers last year?
 
Haha, I wish I was lincoln Looping. That was Moses.

I had the '07 invaders for the last few weeks of the season. Most of the season I was on the green Skogen Pros with the yellow bases.

Doing mostly the jump-line with mainly 3s and fucking up my shoulder doing a 5.
 
i go to brock U and will be getting a seasons pass at kissing bridge this year. Never been so you guys will have to show me the ropes.
 
You should make a couple of trips down to Bristol if your gonna be in Brockport. (Brock U is Brockport right? I'm not "down" with the college lingo.)
 
well kissing bridge is real easy to get used to (they only have like 20 slopes) but the park is really nice for around here....theyve got a feature for every level of skier and alot of quality rails

If so, I'll meet up with ya. KB can be entertaining. just go in with a positive attitude and make the most of it.

Its Brock University in St. Catharines ON ... not to much skiing around here though thats why we will mission it to the states everytime.
 
I will be riding kb and hv when i return on christmas break

oh and not to be cruel or anything but here in the UT we are supposed to get some snow in high elevations tonight tomorrow night and possibly monday night, i hope you guys get some snow on the slopes some time soon, hopefully we get enough so we can hike brighton monday and set up some rails

its all good, there might not be any accumulation, but i will be back for all of december so i will suffer thru it with you guys once again
 
i wish we got a good snow pack and some GOOD pow in WNY....i went to colorado last year and now im hooked...i hate WNY, but i guess i have to live with what ive got.
 
I'll be hiking the old Bluemont area on powder days. Anyone who is up for joining me, let me know.

800' vertical, and some steep-ish looking shit when I hiked there a week ago.
 
dude thats a pretty sick idea to ski bluemont....theres another old place in eden....i think its called red ridge or something like that...im def. gonna go to one of em with my friends and thier snomobiles(easier hike) : )
 
True, but there will be a railjam at Kissing Bridge for sure on November 10th during their open house. I think they still want to have a 2nd during october somewhere.

The one at UB got nixed due to UBand the insurance there not agreeing.
 
I'll be skiing mainly at KB this year, a little bit at HV. I skied there last year too a little bit. Anybody on here go to UB? Hit me up with a PM if you do.

Alright, thanks man. Hopefully a bunch of us can meet up this year. I know a buddy of mine found some sweet urban up in Delaware Park we are going to try on the first snow fall. If anybody is interested, we could all meet up then try em.
 
Check the member photos of the user "Moses", he has some photos of a few of the rails in Delaware Park.
 
sick nasty....i didnt even think of delaware park.....my schools right there so im gonna hit em up....does anyone know any good handrails in orchard park?  im moving there from hamburg, so i wanna know if theres anything closeby.
 
Thanks to substance, who found a link for me, I have been able to link anyone who said they ski KB to the KB cult.

As for rails in OP, I cannot think of any off-hand, I saw what could be an entertaining down rail in at a church in Elma though. Saw it from a distance. The rail was red, I'll check it out better sometime soon, not sure how high the bust factor would be though. It's just off the 400 at the corner of Jamison and Bowen.
 
yea, rails in OP isn't the best of ideas anyways. you can look around but the cops aren't that nice to anyone. I'm at UB too, OP native. Skiing KB since 6th grade, Holiday a few times, same with Holimont. With Schuss I'll be following them to Pknpk too.
 
Haha, Yeah. Orchard Park police are quite strict. Brutal traffic cops too.

I haven't seen anything in OP though anyways.
 
Yea, you're better off at UB. lol. There's a few in the falls that pros rocked in various movies... I don't know where they are, but maybe someone knows.
 
There's on on the ontario side that was in Freeze, leads down towards the falls from the light-tower area.

I think the shot was Philou sliding it. Me and Tyler scoped it last fall, but it seemed VERY high risk, with high bushes on each side and the rail dumps you right at the edge of the street.
